The more the merrier and it looks like I'll be the first. Can I make a booking Thermomixer? Does she allow computers and Thermomixers?

Cathy, one thing I have always found when I have 'the mob' is a suggestion my father made many, many years ago and that was to use paper plates and disposable tablecloth and even cutlery if you are so inclined. He then announced to all and sundry that he would do the dishes after the meal. We cleared the table of the necessary and then he very grandly rolled the lot up and disposed of it in the bin. Many of the family were shocked and it can be expensive but boy it was worth it.
Even now that he and Mum are no longer round if we have 'the mob' we still have the disposable bits and pieces.

We always have a cold meal and have a very busy Christmas Eve but then Christmas day is a breeze. Good luck.
I love Christmas and all the planning.

I'm safe, mine can't even turn on the computer.

CP63 I am fairly sure you are right. Doesn't salt affect the boiling and freezing temperature of water?(and vegie stock I'd say)

Clever girl-we knew you could do it. I laughed at the taping of the oven dials. I would be one of those people who forgot and turned it on.

Lovely cake and lovely bench top.

I used a jar of Morello cherries that were on special last week. The taste is fairly lemony. Not sour though.

I'm having a giggle at a retirement home with us in it, hugging our Thermomixes (not Thermomixer) tightly on out knee in our motorised wheelchairs. They must be motorised so that we can tear around the corridors. They would probably put us in the locked section for demented mixers. Gee we could have a lot of fun, terrorising the kitchen staff and threatening the carers.
"I'll put you in my Thermomix if you won't let me go and see Judy, I want her Swiss steak recipe" ;D ;D ;D ;D

I did exactly the same as you Julie. Simply drained the ricotta and cherries while I got the tin ready. I had about a dessertspoon of liquid come out of the ricotta. The crumble is such a different idea and looks nice too.

Oh goody. I could then say to DH "I'm going on the forum for half an hour, then I'll be working with my therapist for another half hour"   That way I could scrape in extra time.

Karen if you do begin to put up your knife rack to get it done for you-make a big thing of measuring and putting little dots here, there and everywhere " just so that you can get it exactly straight". Most DH's can't stand it if it looks like it's going to be crooked.  Good luck.

I could give it up tomorrow.

Thank goodness 'tomorrow never comes'.

Thanks for that.  I'm sure there will be people who really have been frustrated and they will really appreciate it.
