I had a roasted chicken carcass given to me so I made a batch of Chinese chicken & sweetcorn soup using the quick recipe on a packet of Chicken noodle soup mix.

Exciting news to wake up to Chookie, such a busy time ahead and I hope it all runs smoothly for you. I can see you spending more time than ever in the kitchen of your new home with so much less outside work to do. Then there’s the quality time you and Ral can spend together as well, much more time to go on those short drives you really like. All the best dear friend.

Yes that was such a long time ago cookie but it was so nice that you were thinking of me and also to send a goodie bag back home to me too. Lovely memories of the ones we did go to.

Oh yes they certainly notice if you’ve cut your own hair cookie.

That was our last one unfortunately Marina. They’ve had 4 all up and I only missed the WA one, was all ready to go and DH ended up in hospital the day before I was due to fly out.

I had CP63’s roasted pumpkin and sweetcorn soup https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1509.msg11860#msg11860 - very nice.

I can’t imagine your hair long at all cookie so it would need to be cut regularly. Marina and I obviously can get away with a much longer period, mine is almost bob style right now so whilst it is behaving itself I’ll stick to it until the day I can’t do a thing with it. I don’t know that I’d hack away at mine Marina, goodness knows what it would end up looking like with my lack of hairdressing skills.

For that very reason I’ve delayed having mine cut Marina. My hairdresser will certainly have something to say to me when I do make an appointment as it’s been 14 weeks since I had mine cut very short. It’s still manageable so I’ll keep it this length until it won’t do what I want. I’m really feeling the cold these days and I’m not keen to go down the short cut just yet.

A big pot of pea and ham soup then I shredded the smoked hock to freeze for DD to do something with. I sent her a link to a collection of recipes using this type of meat when asking her if she wanted it. It was a yes please from her.

Not a bad thing to have to do cookie, there’s always so much to see there and a leisurely stroll around the store is something I love to do which is why I Iike to go alone.

My pleasure Chookie, the Forumfesters are a special group of ladies we were lucky enough to holiday with several times and they care deeply about the well-being of their group.

The house must be just what you want Chookie, it has to be special if you’ve put an offer in at this stage. Wishing you good luck with your offer.

What a fun thing to do Chookie, perhaps you could not eat the crusts of some of the pies (best part).
I hope the house sells soon so that you can make an offer on its replacement. Well done to your chooks, obviously they don’t find it too cold to keep laying. Will you be taking them with you eventually? Lucky people who are receiving the eggs, there’s nothing like fresh eggs. |
