Hi MM,
I have authored a recipe book written for the health conscious and which includes the Thermomix method for each recipe.  All recipes are plant based.  if you'd like to view a sample you may email me on: aileen@designed4health.com and I will send you a sample of the book which is entitled 'Rainbow Recipes'.

Hi Linda,
I bought my TM in 2005 and have never regretted that decision for a minute.  I never considered that I had purchased an expensive kitchen appliance but rather that I had made an investment in a lifestyle.  At the same time that I purchased my TM, I also joined as a consultant and I have continued to sell TM's, not only because they do so much, are solid German quality and are very reliable but also because they enable the every day cook to do extraordinary things in the kitchen without having to constantly supervise the cooking.  The TM is the perfect appliance to have to get back to basics and create healthy meals for the family without manufacturers additives.  I have purchased four TM's so far.  They make great gifts.  You can't help but want to share something that is this good.
I've also written a health focused plant based recipe book which includes both the Thermomix Method as well as the conventional method for each recipe.  I would never go to all that trouble if TM wasn't so very good.
All the best with your decision.  if you are hesitant about outlaying the money, why not join as a consultant.  I don't know of any other kitchen appliance that offers you the means to earn back the cost of your outlay and it's a great way to help others discover healthier ways to make their own food.

Hi Vivaroo,

Your improvements sound delicious.  You're right, this is a base recipe.  The variations in the recipe recommend the addition of other vegetables such as carrots, peas, corn, potato, etc.  This dahl recipe is really nice served with Indian Spiced Potatoes (page 37) or even combine left over Indian Spiced Potatoes with the dahl.

I am very glad to hear of your inventiveness.  This is what cooking is all about - taking a recipe as a landscape and filling in the detail to suit your personal preferences.  The TM is the best tool to use - it makes experimentation quick and simple and the results always come out edible.

All the best,

Aileen
