I made another Classic Loaf yesterday, a SD rye today and also an Apple and Almond cake. That should last us the few days we are away.

More bread,  biscuits , and soup today.  In an effort to waste nothing, I made bread crumbs from odd bits of bread. The Guardian newspaper had an article on using bread crumbs.  Very good.

The jam and coconut slice looks delicious and the plate it is on is gorgeous.

I made pumkin soup in the pressure cooker today. It turned out to be a very large quantity, must be at least 5 litres. Will send some over to the neighbours and freeze some. It really is soup weather here at the moment.

Didn’t get around to making biscuits . This is the bread. King Arthur recipe, has 200 g SD and 600 flour with 2 teaspoons of yeast.

Your bread always looks so good Chookie. Love date and walnut cake.
I tried the sausage roll maker out today and made Thai chicken filling. Was impressed with it but certainly something we didn't need. DH will get some use out of it though.
Also made some "bread" in the pie maker.

Made an interesting sweet chicken curry.  Contains chicken, tinned  tomatoes and pineapple.
Also made curried mince with added veggies.  I have to make a concerted effort to use all the veggies and fruit that comes once a fortnight in the delivery box.
I bought some beautiful floury potatoes and steam the chips in the Varoma dish.  I then shake them around to rough up the edges.  Let them get cold and keep in fridge. I then fry a few at a time in Rice bran oil, for Ral.
I have lots of small Mandarines.  I might make some conserve.  I have to boil them 3 times to remove the bitterness in he skins.

Chicken, cheese & bacon sausage rolls using filo pastry as the supermarket had no puff pastry.

I haven't cooked anything today, but I am starting to settle down in the 'new' kitchen now and getting used to appliances that actually do what you want them to do, when you want them to do it.  It is very confusing as things are in different spots to where I have them in Guildford and I spend half my time walking two and fro in the kitchen trying to find the things I need ... then discovering that the particular item is need is not here ... it is in Guildford!  Ah well, it is fun, though  :P

Marina, I feel for you although it must be nice using all those new appliances.
Yesterday I made Pizzas for lunch. Made sme for GC also.  No contact delivery.  They send back photos of them eating  them.
