Our menu for the past couple of days:

Harira soup in the pressure cooker using lamb and extra veggies
Harira soup in the thermomix vegetarian version

Hungarian goulash from MWOC with mash and broccoli.

Tonight it was only DD9 and me.  She begged and pleaded for fish (grilled) and chips. I had some veggie patty thingy which turned out to be a giant bubble and squeak. Not bad coming from a fish and chip shop.

I tried the Nana mcDonald lemon tart from the recipe community site.  the pastry was so easy to handle, but not sweet enough. it said zest of one lemon, not sure if that means a couple of strips or literally the zest of the whole lemon!  the filling so easy as you just make it in TMX and then our in to set. I made it in individual pie tins.

Good morning Hally
I have the WW hard cover cookbook and used that recipe to convert for the vegetarian soup in the TM.
I didn't taste the lamb harira but DH had the vego soup the next night and said it was nice.
My kids don't like shanks as they are too fatty.  Miss 9 gets turned off her meal if there's fat on her meat so I used trimmed lamb shoulder cut into bit size pieces.  The meat (apparently) melted in their mouths.

Thanks I thought they might have been different recipes. With the shanks I trimmed as much fat off as I could, then took the very little fat  off after cooking. Nice recipe.

$15 per 1 kg pack, I bought 2.   I figured I don't pay for red meat weekly, so why not.
Definitely they need 7-8 hours on low.....I forgot to turn off slow cooker from keep warm, and I found those ones left were much tender.
They are very meaty....I give up looking for good meaty ribs around here, even the butchers ones looked to be on a diet  :-))
