I'm just following the recipes exactly. I do think I overmixed the muffins. I'll try some of these tips - thanks :)

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Thermie Baking

I'm not sure if I'm Doing something wrong, perhaps overmixing, but I'm not very impressed so far with the thermoelectric and baking. I've made banana and choc chip muffins, the $4 mud cake and the easy choc cake in the EDC but each time the results haven't been great. It seems to me that baking the old fashioned way is better. Does anyone else think this?

I didn't know about that warranty either. I used my MasterCard Debit to pay for mine.

Hi mammamix :)

I've only had my Thermie for a week now but he's made himself at home. I've made so much already with a lifetime to go - so excited for you:)

I made this one the other night with mashed potato (first time - divine!!!). It was really yummy even with the big boo boo I made. I forgot to put it in reverse when it was cooking so the meat came out a bit like tuna :p This did take awhile to cook 30 mins then another 40 mins but was worth the wAit. I definitely will be trying this one again in reverse lol!!!!

Hi everyone :)

This is the first recipe I have made in my Thermie and I must say I wasn't impressed. I haven't made the veggie stock yet so I used Massel veggie stock powder which perhaps could have made a difference. I think that i would not add the butter next time as I could really taste it and it had sort of a film  Over it if that makes sense. I definitely don't think it needed it. I probably won't make this one again.

Introduce Yourself / Re: I'm New

HI Lisa,

I am in Perth too and am holding a demo tomorrow night. My partner thinks it's just like a Kitchenaid mixer - he has no idea. He's working away at the moment so I'm hoping it will be in the kitchen when he comes back and I can win him over :)

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome. My demo is tomorrow night I just can't wait to get it. I'm in WA so my demonstrator said it doesn't take very long to get it as she'll pick it up from HO. Hurray!!!

Hi Everyone,

I have been saving for a Thermie for awhile now and yesterday my partner said I can go ahead and get one! I am so excited I can't wait to book a demo :)

I live in WA and have 2 boys - 20 months and 9 weeks. My partner does FIFO 2 weeks on, 1 off so life is busy!

I can't wait to get to know you all as I've been stalking for awhile now :P

Two questions I have are - how long does your Thermie take to arrive once you've ordered it and also when do the new monthly specials  come out? I think I'm going to wait and have my demo in June.
