It will be lovely having her home for Christmas GF, poor darling would be missing you all terribly.  I hope you get some clues about clipping her yourself, not only for being able to get her done immediately but think of the money saved if you could do the job yourself.

Good news goldfish.  Clipping is easier said than done as there is a definite knack to it but I would give it a try anyway. It the dogs will sit still then why not. Most mobile dog washing people do clipping too so that might be a quicker option . You do need proper dog clippers . I used to occasionally cut old Elvis hair . I do miss that old puppy but he too had only his sense of smell left.

So pleased to hear Susie is coming home Goldfish.
We clip our dog (Cairn terrier).  We have a pair of dog clippers and usually strip out the undercoat, bath her and when dry run the clippers over her.  Using a pair of blunt nose scissors to cut any awkward areas around feet etc.  She does not mind it at all in fact likes it as long as there are a few treats going at the time  ;D

When my Harry got a tick they shaved him within an inch of his life except his legs.
He looked like he was wearing ugg boots. It's not hard at all GF. I had to buy another cheap shaver (not pet specific) got it from Kmart. DH wouldn't let me use his moe trimmer  :-)) As long as Susie will stay still you will be right.  :)

GF I am so glad Susie is coming home. We do fret over our loved animals. I do anyway. So pleased the news is good.

I'm sorry I can't offer any grooming advice. I only had dogs as I was growing up and Dad used to run over the dogs with the shearing gear  :P

Roger the dodger...he should be a wake up by now and run when he sees those antlers come out if the box. He should dob you in to the RSPCA for trying to turn him into a reindeer  :D how much glucosamine do you give him?
Haha CP I think he loves the attention. He gets one tablet a day (just the cheapest ones from the supermarket). The vet suggested it. I would not have thought to give it to a dog but it works a treat :)

She is gorgeous Jess and is sure to keep you on your toes.  Do many caravan parks allow pets these days?

Yes Judy, as long as you have your dog under control, it is the norm, except national parks. So many of us travel with our pets now.
