The shortbread looks delicious Cookie. Haven't done much cooking lately due to having mum in hospital.
Have finally been able to to make something out of the snacks book that Cookie gave me. It is a lovely book with some delicious snacks I hope to make soon.
These are the pizza, rice cakes. It is a very generous recipe making 12 standard size muffins and 2 Texas size muffins.

On Friday NSW hospitals got a new directive from the NSW government. It is mandatory for nurses to wear masks. Because we now have some hotspots in Port Stephens and East Maitland, if you have been in these hotspots on the specified times you must be swabbed and self isolate for 24 days even if the swab is negative.
Newcastle, The Lake, The Valley and The Bay should have closed their boarders. It was a Sydney person that reintroduced the virus.

The eggplant salad and the sausage bake look yummy. DH loves sausages, so must try it out.

I have had mum very ill in hospital for the last 2 weeks. She is home now and much better.
Mum is having a reassessment on Monday, so hopefully that will get her a few more hours of care.

Good to hear your DH is doing well Mab.
I have mum in hospital at the moment. Today is day 11. Her problem was all sorted on Friday and I'm not sure why she is still there. She is in a public hospital and it's not like them to keep a bed filled if not required. Hopefully home today. The discharge planner rang me on Friday to see what services mum had in place. She also rang My Aged care to see when the ACAT assessment would take place, only to be told that there is no record of a request for an assessment. Back to square 1. Will follow up with that tomorrow.

Work today. We are back to full capacity again and because of the back log we have been extremely busy. We all had a laugh when we were told we were over staffed this morning. If you just looked at number of pt's it would seem so, no looks at the acuity. Anyway the day is over and all pt's still breathing.
I came home to wonderful suprise in the letterbox. The lovely lunches and snacks book arrived that Cookie sent me. Have had a quick flick through and am looking forward to an early night and a good look through it. Thankyou Cookie :D

Riv-mum's choc fudgy wudgy cookies are beautiful. Also Brummington's ultra gooey beetroot chocolate brownie is worth a look.

Good news that your DH is on the mend Mab. Hopefully you will have some time to break in the new oven.
