Sounds nice Chookie. Good to see you’re using your Ninja, I bet you get some looks by people walking by when they smell the food.

Well done cookie, I bet you’ve lost count of the number of burn offs you’ve had.
I’ve just had my hair cut, left it a little longer than usual because of our cruise in 2 weeks. Note to self - do not accept a booking on a Saturday again. Boy was it busy in the small salon today, even the owner wondered how so many were booked in at the same time. 3

Love that the family enjoy your cooking Margaret.
I made JulieO’s Curried Pasta Salad today. It’s been a long time since I looked at our salad recipes. It’s my DF’s turn to cook on Saturday night, he’s doing fish and makes a very good garden salad so I offered to make a salad too. Summer is here. 5

At least you’re seeing places you’d probably never go Chookie, I've never been to a wine bar myself.
Tonight’s dinner with DF is TrudyO’s Honey Mustard Chicken, https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=h58j3l2go6lnqnb5aibkqfat00&topic=5129.0 one of the first things I ever made for him. He loved it so time to revisit. Serving it with pasta and stir fried cabbage & zucchini. No dessert tonight, it won’t be needed after this filling meal. 7

We’re missing out on all that rain down here so today, after checking the radar map to make sure there was none coming, I’ve had to water. It’s disappointing to see the map and what everyone else is getting. I’ve cleaned the range hood and bathroom exhaust fans, a few more spring cleaning jobs out of the way. I’m so busy these days that it’s taking me a lot longer than usual to get everything ticked off my list.
Everyone our age seems to be having busy lives, no boredom for us is there ladies! K Atie you haven’t learnt to say no yet have you? So nice of you to do extra jobs to help people out but sometimes we need to put our feet up and rest. 8

I can imagine it is very frustrating Marina, you were out of action for a long time after that op. Now you don’t know what is ahead of you to fix the problem. I hope they can come up with a simple fix.

Yesterday I made 2 batches of my Prawn Crepes https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3601.0 for the freezer for visitors in early December. I also did a batch of 24 of my Caramelised Onion and Mushroom tarts https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=7770.0 for morning tea for the workers tomorrow plus some for my neighbour ladies Christmas afternoon tea. I used Shiitake mushrooms and goats cheese to cater for DF’s dietary needs, I put some on his lunch plate today and he loved them as I knew he would.
Tonight I’ve made this shortbread recipe, one of the 3 that you mentioned Margaret https://createbakemake.com/easy-3-ingredient-shortbread-recipe/. I only did half the recipe which was plenty, not sure if I’ve ever made shortbread before but I found it not to be as enjoyable a task as other types of biscuits. Now to get the thumbs up from DF tomorrow. 12

I’m clearing out all the soup containers from my freezer before it becomes too warm, it looks like we have a few hot days ahead of us now though. I can hardly move in my freezers so I hope I’m still able to resolve this problem.

Congratulations to the family Margaret, it sounds like there are a number of male grand-children - any girls?
What sort of problem is that foot giving you Marina? I’ve got a friend of my DF coming to install a watering system out the front tomorrow so my DF came around to do some preparatory work this morning. I’d done some the day before which took me well over an hour but he did an area as much as mine in just 15 minutes! 14

Enjoy your Melbourne family Chookie and all your new gadgets.
A one off very hot day here so out in the front garden very early to water and remove anything that’s had its day. I’ve made your My Favourite Quiche for our dinner tonight Chookie, will do the salad later. |
