I made this today too so I could cool down in this hot Melbourne weather.  I agree that it is delicious, cool and amazingly creamy for the ingredients in it.

Yes very yummy :) DH and I shared it (in our Tervis tumblers) which are large insulated boating cups with lids or straw lids :)

Made this today, left out the sugar and halved the recipe. I will make it again and again. Might try freezing some expresso to use instead of instant coffee.

It has amazing texture for so few ingredients. Lovely drink for hot weather.

Looking forward to making this.

I dont take sugar in my coffee, so I dont think I need to add any.

I don't have sugar in ordinary coffee Hally but I find with coffee made with milk I need to add some.  If you make it without then find it is not sweet enough, you can always add some icing sugar at the end like I did (on top of the original amount of sugar :-))) and blitz it some more.

Last week I made this for DS13, a tradesman & I to share. Since then DS has been making his own by halving the recipe and using  a 10gm sachet of Mocha. Little rat doesn't share either  :( :( :(

Made this to take out with me. Made the full amount. Yesterday i put 4 short blacks in the fridge to make this today. Used hilo milk  & no sugar.

Dont know what you are all worried about with the calories, low fat milk is fine & I reckon you have more calories in a skinny latte, all milk no ice. Its not as strong as I thought it would be, so next time will use 6 short blacks.

Enjoying, but woukd like it stronger.

This is really yummy. I agree with Hally - the fat and calories in this are negligible - even if you use full cream milk it's only about 1 gram of fat per serve plus 13g of carbs (according to Living Cookbook) - so frappe away!  I made a half amount today for DH and I (whilst everyone else was out of the house  ;) ) and was very impressed by the lovely foamy texture. Sadly it didn't quite fit into the two glasses so someone had to finish off the last bits  8)

I think other flavours would work - might try unsweetened cocoa (or sweetened and leave out the sugar) - fruit would be good too but not sure how to put in a concentrated 'shot' of flavour without resorting to chemically enhanced concentrates or essences. I think fresh fruit would be too bulky and would end up with a sorbet/slushy.

Hmmm  I've just noticed that I posted that at 6.50am whilst I'm quite sure it's 2.52pm. Hally is either a night owl (1.52am) or something is a bit wonky with the times here!   ???

I made this in my Thermochef today and it's delicious. I followed the recipe to a T, and my only small criticism, is that it is too sweet for me. I usually make myself an iced coffee without any sugar, so next time I'll tryit without any sugar. However, that's just a personal preference and the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things. I cant wait to make it for DH as i think he'll love it.. It's so smooth and creamy. I am so glad I got this book for my birthday  ;D
