You have been busy Chookie. I have a rye SD loaf in the oven at the moment.

Fun fact. When we were filling jars with onion jam and zucchini relish yesterday we misplaced a lid ! Now we had boiled all the jars in a huge pot . It was nowhere . Yes it was there in the beginning. This morning I had a text to say .. found lid ! One of the jars was rattling! It was Inside the large lid . Sealed !

I made a Classic loaf today. It doesn’t seem to have risen much. I’m fairly sure I put the yeast in and the SD starter was bubbly. It was very cool here today for a change so I helped it along. Hopefully y I didn’t kill the yeast. I’ve put it in the fridge overnight and will see how it is in the morning.

Made 5 chicken / veg pies but find 1/2 is enough for a meal. Very filling. Great soup weather.
Going to make the herb paste recipe from Cookidoo.
