No cooking here. I am boosting my rye starter and it is growing very quickly.

Dairy free pesto, bolognaise, lentil and pesto (something), loads of spiralised carrots and zucchini for salad and also as 'spaghetti' for the left over pesto, stock concentrate (tempted to experiment with dehydrating some of it, JulieO, to see how it goes, although I don't have a dehydrater so not sure how the oven would cope, although I have dried oregano in the microwave so that is a possibiilty)
Marina from Melbourne and Guildford

A batch of shortbread yesterday, nearly all gone now.  No cooking today.

Made another batch of shortbread this morning.  Will put some in the freezer before it all goes.

I’m having great fun because it is cooler.  I have raisins soaking in rum to make some chocolate things for DD to take to work. https://tenina.com/recipes/siena-cake-chocolate-bar
I have some shortbread in the fridge from this site.
https://preppykitchen.com/shortbread-cookies-recipe/
I’ve made these sugar cookies, but have put pistachios and cranberries in them.

After lunch I plan to make Amanda’s biscotti.

Also I will make some more fruit mince tarts.
Probably after that I will sit in my chair and fall asleep. 😀😀
I will post photos as each is cooked.

You’re certainly making the most of the cooler weather before it returns cookie. The first one looks very nice.

I am feeling so lazy when reading what everyone is cooking.   The heat makes me feel ill.  Well that is my excuse. ! I did take 14 jars of jam as a lucky dip when we met with past colleagues. I have a pile of printed recipes ready to convert and cook but either too hot or out.

I’m with you Chookie, it makes me feel ill too and I have to force myself to eat most of the time.

I’m normally not too bad with the heat but more than 2 days over 40 or near it and I’m a wipe out. It seems to sap your energy so much.

I saw a recipe on face book for dinner rolls cooked in the air fryer this morning  so decided to try them.  Made them in the tmx and cooked in the AF at 160 deg for 16 mins.  They turned out well and are nice and soft but a little bit too sweet.   I made 15 rolls, hope they stay fresh until tomorrow.

They look nice Mab.  In Tenina's email this morning there was a link to some lovely looking rolls 'garlic brown butter pull apart rolls' that sound and look really good too. Am tempted to make them today if I get the chance.  :)
