Well the Black Friday specials has hit home! Bought 3 beautiful towels and a gorgeous top from UK Debenhams - all on special (free shipping to Aust if you spend over 50 pounds) and Robins Kitchen had an extra 25% off even on its sale items - so scoured a Peugeot pepper grinder. Too afraid to check out the American shops in case my credit card gets a battering!

I made Skinnymixer's Health by chocolate Torte. Out of 6 people, 4 loved it - others found it too rich and too strong in flavour. Well worth trying it folks since it is diary free, no butter, no flour - nothing bad!

The Power of Frozen is supposed to be a good book. Looking forward to your review Katie.

Nigella's meatloaf recipe is very good. I make it often.

Congratulations to your DH on becoming an Australian citizen.
I had a flat tyre and instead of waiting at the service station went across the road to Grill'd and had the most scrumptious Zucchini chips. Does anybody have a good recipe for this? It was coated in what seemed like "salt and pepper" batter and fried. I would, of course, use an air fryer for this. 55

I look forward to your review of the Vegetarian book Cookie. I am trying to convince myself I do not need any more cookbooks but have been tempted by Skinnymixer's Taste of Asia.

Isn't it wonderful to enjoy cooking again? With Christmas hovering soon, good time to try some items for Christmas hampers on the TMX!

Although I have not had the time to be active on the Forum recently, I am really enjoying reading about the Forum Fest. Maybe if you have the next Fest in Sydney I might be able to join for at least for part of it!!

News about Thermomix / Release of Thermomix in USA« on: August 16, 2015, 02:21:16 am »
Hi all, Don't know if it has been mentioned before (since I have not been on much recently) but there is an article in House Beautiful about a "blender" being released in the USA. The most interesting point is that it costs $1200 in the USA. Even with the difference in exchange rates that it nearly half of what we have to pay.
