I've fallen off the cookbook wagon :(
The AWW book I kind of tripped over in the PO today. I almost put it back, but it actually has storage information in it.. Ie. how long.. in the .fridge, freezer etc. All baking books should include this I think!
The Annabelle White book (from New Zealand) has the original recipe for that fabulous date and lime cake here on the forum. I'm interested to see what else is in there !

GF,  one of my most used books is one by Annabelle White and Kathy Paterson,   " Simply the Best".  The coffee Fudge and Apricot fudge ,  posted,  were both converted from their recipes.  I also make a salmon dip, based on their recipe.    Hope you enjoy your purchase.

GF,  it isn't a fab production.  And $40 is a bit rich,  but there are several recipes that I will make,  so took the plunge.

I have 2 of Annabelle White's cookbooks from before I was married.  :)  Must get them out again and re-visit some of my old favourite recipes  :)

I love the cookbook purchases. I am trying to be strong in this area.

Mich we got him a standard iPad. DD has a mini and he doesn't like using it much as he said it is too tiny. He said the print is too difficult to read. I'm on the mini at the moment as DH has mine, and DD has her big one!

Cookie, my brain got tied up in knots trying to figure out your iPad merry-go-round :D ;D

Bought a few things today. All you girls' fault....for being sooo inspiring. I have never made pies, hardly eat pies but they look so yummy :P

DD and I went out this morning and bought an iPad, a projector clock (Gert told us about them ages ago) and a couple of shirts. It is DH's birthday next week.

cookie what is going on???  You will be hooked on the projector  clock. I can't bear thinking about being without  it now. WhenI put visitors in my room and moved into my cubby room I was berift of my clock and temperature. My ceiling says it is 2158 and 22.5 degrees right now.

Love that thing and if it died I would buy another in a heartbeat. In facts I think I may have to get a travelling one.

Honestly it is the silliest thing but it is  really  addictive.  Crazy as it is  as I am up so frequently  I find I am looking at it  inordinately. It is almost my friend  in the middle of the night.

Kids would love it as it acts as a night light as well without actually giving much light. Just enough to give reassurance or in my case a indication of where the loo is whic is reassurAnce for oldies .

Great purchases everyone. Those cookbooks all look lovely.

Thanks for the tips on the coffee. The boys had hot chocolates again tonight and really enjoyed them.

I do like to know the time on my numerous wakings. My problem is my aging eyesight, i have to sort of squint to read the alarm clock without glasses. Does it project it very large?
