I'm sure your nephew will love and appreciate all the work you've put into it Lucyloo.  How many ties did you have to source for that beautiful quilt?

Thanks Gert and Yvette.Judy  I started with over 100 ties mostly collected from op shops after washing , sorting and ironing I ended up with 81 usable pieces. It took about 18 months to make from sourcing the ties and fabrics to the finish last Thursday. My nephews wife is into craft and sewing so I'm sure she'll apreciate it.

Weeds.........who ever invented them? Where do they all come from? And why is it so much effort to remove them?
I have been to work this morning then come home to whipper snipper, weed, trim and mow. I have been going for hours and still no where near finished :(
Someone come and mow for me please :D

Fantastic effort Lucyluu, a gift to be handed down one day perhaps.
Lol Maddy!
Dede I know exactly what you mean!

Some lovely friends called in from afar and after a quick lunch of soup and sausage buns they helped cleared a bedroom ready for chimney works on Monday morning. A lot of moving around of stuff today.

I took the kids to get their Santa photos done at Harvey Norman and we put up the Christmas tree. The kids decorated it and I set up the light up Christmas gift boxes I got in the sales last year ....... I looooveee them. Nice to have something under the tree because we don't have presents until Christmas eve .......... my little monkies would open them lol.
Here's a pic.
