Iím devastated to hear this news Chookie, it is a brave and fighting man who goes back for more treatment. Much love to you both, so glad the sale and moving into your new home has happened in time to give you some much needed more time together.  My heart weeps for you. Xxxx

Looks like a lot of us had the storm. We had a doosie this afternoon and preceding that, everyone Iíve spoken to was woken by thunder at 3 am this morning. More to come tomorrow (Sunday).

I had something similar done some years back Marina, I donít remember being bruised but I do remember the pain. TVs are certainly different than they were 15 years ago, have fun trying to work out your new one if neither of you are technically minded.

Poor MIL K Atie, fingers crossed she will be OK. Enjoy your night out, I hope the wool shed is reasonably waterproof.

It will be a great experience cookie, I loved my stint on the 3 cases I did many years ago and would have loved another call up. Yes you will be back on a time schedule and your retirement lifestyle will be paused for a while, I hope you enjoy it.

Iíve been cooking for my kids from Melbourne who arrive later today. SC roast beef, potato casserole and veggies for SIL, SC pasta vegetable bake for DD, chocolate mousse, chocolate covered dried strawberries, vegemite/cheese & pumpkin/feta scrolls. I also have a curried chicken dish in the freezer for SIL.

You will be pretty busy over the next couple of weeks Chookie so Iím sure the time will fly by. I know the feeling I had before scans, you hardly give them a second thought until itís almost time to have them so itís a perfectly normal thing to worry about.  As far as lawn mowing goes, a pair of scissors would do the job unless Ral wants to start up his own small business for the area. Got to love that he still wants to do things.

Judy I believe Adelaide copped a severe storm. I hope everything is ok with you.

Yes it was cookie, thanks for asking. I was on a bus trip to different towns on the Fleurieu Peninsular but in spite of the rain, at first we did everything planned. Lunch was at the Yankalilla Hotel and the heavier rain arrived as we were boarding the bus for our trip home so we didnít stop anywhere else. That was certainly a very scary trip, there were trees down (fortunately not onto the road), debris and flooding on the roads and many cars going the opposite direction to us had pulled over. We have a very experienced driver and we had full confidence in his ability to get us home safely with stories to tell. Back home weíd received 30mm which is a lot for my area, I could see that the lawns had been flooded but it had all drained away by the time I returned at 5.45 pm. Another great trip, we donít let nature ruin our day if we can help it.

Chookie itís so nice to hear that moving day finally arrived, what a well oiled team you have behind you and the finishing touch for the day was a perfect end to the hard work they all put in. I hope the rest of the move goes as smoothly.

Not actually cooking but I did prepare RTE garlic crack bread for the freezer to give to the kids as itís always been on my to-do list. Cookie, you made it recently - how was it?  So fiddly to make but I got there eventually and my DD was pretty pleased when I sent her a photo of what I have for her.  https://www.recipetineats.com/cheese-garlic-crack-bread-pull-apart-bread/

Fried cabbage with noodles and bacon from RTEís recipe book page 57.
I made half the recipe and did use the bacon to add some flavour but discarded it when adding the onions and garlic.  Tasty but a bit dry for me, I think it needs a sauce but that could just be me. Iím going to add some to soup and make a carbonara sauce for another meal.
