So they were a success Chookie. Iíd love to make my own as bought ones have so little filling and I find them tasteless.
Your bread baking is magnificent as usual as is yours cookie.

We had a very windy, noisy night last night Chookie, the debris on the back lawn was more than I usually get on a stormy winter night.  Today was lovely. I had routine blood tests then went to the kidsí house for a couple of hours to tidy up a few garden beds and do a bit of watering. Iíll sleep like a baby tonight.
A haircut does indeed make us feel better cookie, mine seems to be growing quicker than ever these days but that could be because Iíve been taking Flaxseed oil for a few months now. I finally have new growth in the area I lost during radiation.

Everything these days is a bit difficult for we oldies Chookie. Gone are the days when you just flick a switch for something to work. Power failures are always dreaded around here as I have trouble setting the clock on my Miele, somehow I end up fluking it after a while. I never use the timer on the oven, I use the microwave one instead as thatís easier.  I guess if you use things more regularly than I do things would be easier.  You will be fine though, you have Ral to help work things out and the Grandchildren nearby if you need them.

Thanks Marina, I bought 2 smaller eggplant instead of a large one and was certainly cooked. I wouldnít have known it was there if it wasnít for the pieces of skin.  Iíve rarely eaten eggplant in anything so I donít really know what it tastes like. This tasted OK though so I hope it freezes well as I got 12 serves out of it.

Thanks cookie.
Are you brushing your Bundt tin with Cake Release, that usually works well.  Disappointing when a cake doesnít come out clean.

After reading what Marina cooked yesterday I found and made this Eggplant Goulash recipe https://www.easycheesyvegetarian.com/aubergine-goulash/ this afternoon.  I added 2 cans of tomatoes, an onion and garlic, swapped kidney beans for cannelloni and at the end added 500 mls chicken stock for the extra liquid I needed to get the right texture for my needs.  Wasnít sure I could eat the skin of the eggplant but during the cooking the flesh just fell off it so it was easy to leave the skin behind on my plate.  It made heaps, lots of packs for the freezer as I will only be having a one ladle serve per meal.

I also made this pumpkin pie https://www.frugalandthriving.com.au/savoury-pumpkin-pie/, had some for lunch but it was nothing special (although easy to eat) so I added some chicken stock and turned it into soup.

Love the little Dodge cookie. The caretaker was lucky he didnít have to face the angry club members, hopefully it wonít happen again.
I went to Bunnings this afternoon to buy more soil and plants for my new planter box project. It looked as if it was going to pour at any moment but I managed to get what I wanted and get out of there dry.  Home via a couple of food shops then did the planting, later tonight we had a good follow up rain so I was pleased Iíd made the effort to go out this afternoon and not leave it until tomorrow.
Marina I hope your turn for restrictions being eased will be very soon, itís going on far too long again.

I like the sound of the goulash too Marina and have printed out a couple of different recipes to try. I virtually eat vegetarian meals these days but can use beef or chicken stock if I think it will add more flavour.  Iíve got a pot of pumpkin soup on the go on the stove this morning.

This afternoon I made a GF lemon slice. One of DDís co workers has just been diagnosed as coeliac as s feeling down in the dumps. They are having a RUOK morning tea so I made this.

What a lovey idea cookie, there are so many recipes and products out there now for celiacs  and tasting your lovely lemon slice will show her she can still have appropriate treats.
