Place 500g water in THX.
Place eggs in basket and program Temp Varoma, speed 1 and times as follows:
(I would say these times are for very large eggs)
11 mins - liquid yolk and creamy white
12 mins - creamy yolk and firm white
13 mins - softish yolk
14 mins - quite firm yolk
15 mins - hard boiled eggs
If your eggs are small, reduce time. I think the above is a pretty good guideline, works for me always, I have very large eggs, with double yolks sometimes! ;D ;D ;D

Thanks bron - great to have this on the Forum - makes sense even tho' the info may be in our Everyday cookbook. Means that it is available for those looking at buying a TMX to see what can be done and it is searchable for those without the books.

I only do 8mins for 2 boiled eggs and that has them nice and runny....11mins seems a long time....maybe they are for ostrich eggs :)

I did 11 minutes for 4 large boiled eggs - tried 10, chopped off one of the tops and the white wasn't set so sat him back in the basket with his lid perched on top and did them all for an extra minute. Pays to check one when you think they are done and easy enough to keep cooking it if isn't to your liking.

Does everyone start with cold tap water? How long does it take to reach 100 degress?

Maybe that is the difference in our timing methods Thermomixer. I use cold water - have never dropped an egg into boiling water in my life. Haven't timed how long it takes to come to the boil - I just put them in, walk away and come back when the timer goes off.

I start with cold tap water. If I make a second batch for the kids who ate the first batch, I tip out the hot water and start again with cold.

Me too, always cold tap water. 11 mins is perfect for me, but we like to dip toast (soldiers) in, and by the time we butter the toast, cut the toast, and put them on the plate, they must cook a little further on their own! Ours are perfect every time, although like I mentioned our eggs are pretty big, and tap water pretty cold now! ;)

Starting off with 6 large eggs (not sure how US sizes compare?) and extra cold tap, even 18 min wasn't enough so we use 19 min every time for 'fully hard' eggs.

I use water directly from the cold tap, then cook the eggs for 15 minutes and they are perfectly hard. I guess you just need to work out what suits you best and go with it.

I do 15 mins with cold tap water too but I like hard boiled.

Yes, mine are nice and hard too. I don't like soft boiled eggs.
