Just had coffee with a GF and now I'm at the carwash waiting for my poor car to get a long overdue wash & spruce up. My house might be a tip, but at least my car will be sparkling! Will try to get around to some housework this afternoon.

Good luck with job application Amy and that is one large food parcel.  I too have house cleaning to do deedub, but can't seem to find the energy today.  Cleaned out a storage cupboard and found a jar of pickled garlic I forgot was there and some tomato sauce from last year, only two bottles though and we have already started on this years.  Oh well, will have to brush up on my stock rotation skills.

Making the most of our power before the " dumb" meter is installed  :-))
I refused them last time, but it's going in today....would love to know exactly what the benefits to us will be, apart from higher bills  :-))

We have had a little excitement around here though...something in the nature of a big black cat......and I'm not talking about a feral cat either  ;)  can't say much at this point....but it will be interesting!

Did you not have a choice with the installation of the smart metre maddy? Not heard anything good about having one of those, I hope your experience is better than what we've seen on current affair programmes.  You are a tease with the black cat story ;D

Did you not have a choice with the installation of the smart metre maddy?

In a nutshell, no.  They are installing them in our area, I could keep refusing, but ultimately they will be installed in all households...and if I don't comply, I will have to foot the costs  :-))

You are a tease with the black cat story ;D

LOL...I know.  It's all very "CSI" at the moment....time will tell all  :)

Lots of luck  Amy  :-*

Good luck with the job application Amy - what are you applying for?  It's nice that you are looking about your brother.

Have been moving fruit trees.  I'm trying to rescue some of our trees in the orchard we planted 8 years ago.  They have always struggled due to the draught now the deer are destroying all the trees.  I moving them closer to the house so I can keep and eye on them.  Not sure if they will do any good but it's worth a try.  So far I've moved 4 (2 plums, 1 fig and a bay tree)  My goal is to try and move 1 a day, not sure I'll be able to move the apple trees as they are quiet big.  May have to wait until next year and start again.  Oh well, live and learn.

At least the exercise is good.

Just a waitressing job at the moment keiramax, but I'm also looking out for a job which might suit my qualifications since I do have some ;)
Moving those fruit trees sounds like a big job :o I hope you don't hurt yourself.

That is a huge parcel :o, but what a great idea.
DS is heading away soon for 2 weeks to TAFE for his apprenticeship and will be staying in a self contained unit, will have to make a care package up for him like this. :D

Hopefully your boy might be more willing to eat healthy foods though Mandi? Would he cook for himself?

We just had to fill my brother's with anything and everything so that he will at least EAT, so I know there are some unhealthy foods in there :-))

He definitely won't cook except for heating things in the microwave :)
I will go shopping the day before he goes and get a whole heap of things for him.
