Keep cool WA.  :D

Another day in the garden. Pure bliss. Looks like our makeover will be done in 1-2 days.

Today I caught up with a friend I haven't seen in 20 years, she is in Perth visiting a sick friend, we had a lovely catch up. Yesterday I attended a funeral of a friends DH, at the wake a glass of beer exploded next to me, glass and beer went everywhere. Bit spooky.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Going to visit my dad today. My car's air conditioned, and we'll go to a restaurant for lunch, also air conditioned. We have fans at home, but I hate our old, noisy, expensive air conditioner, so I don't use it.

My pantry was in an awful mess so I decided to clean it out this morning.  Now I can see where everything is..

Mab, If you're in the pantry cleaning mood, you could gladly do mine. I know I have to tackle it soon, funny thing is I know exactly where everything is even though it's a mess.

Have mowed 2 lawns today with Don. Our next door neighbour was in a car accident and can't mow right now, so did his lawns. We all take a turn at an elderly neighbour's lawns at the end of the street and it was our next neighbours turn so we did that while we had the whipper snipper and mower out. Pretty knocked up now. We are out to dinner and then going to watch the 2100hrs fire works.

That is very sweet of you and Don Mich. Before we shifted we had a neighbourhood like that. Although our neighbours here are fantastic. Next door always does our front lawn when he does his as they run together. Lovely people.

We have now pretty well finished closing down and cleaning / clearing out our second shop after a week's hard work.  This morning had to get up at 5.00 am to be available from 7.00 am - 5.00 pm to let the electricity guys in to read the meter.  Left home around 5.30 and met up with a kangaroo at around 6.00 am - the 'roo seems to be OK but the poor old car is looking a bit second hand ... more or less the same panels damaged as were damaged in my accident earlier this month.

After all that, they read the meter remotely at 10.00 am so we didn't need to go through this morning's problems in the end.  Ah well, apart from handing over the keys on Monday it is all done and dusted (literally) so we are both totally delighted and looking forward to getting away for our holidays.

Marina you must be so relieved that it is over and done with. Now sit back and rest.

Oh Marina, I really feel for you but love how you accept anything that comes your way and just get on with it.  I hope you both enjoy your break now that the closing and moving is over.  May 2016 be very kind to you in business and life in general.

Neighbours like you and Don are wonderful Michele. Enjoy your night out and it sounds as if you might fall into bed before midnight like cookie.
