I made Tenina's Almond and Cranberry Granusli for the first time. I knew there was a reason I have never made it before. It will be very difficult not to just eat it all by the spoonful.
I also made a batch of Umami paste, and peanut butter. Then made some rissoles and mash for dinner.
I haven't done much cooking lately, this has been a big day for me.

I made Cathy79's Banana and blueberry muffins and Skinnymixers Macaroni and Cheese with a twist for a work colleague that was in a car accident a few weeks ago. She cares for her grandchildren and they were all in the car with her. She just got back to town over the weekend and two of the kids are still in wheelchairs and need regular trips to he hospital.

There is a City to Surf fun run and our house is not far from the finish line so we will have people drop past for brunch when they finish. I think DH has invited people over for dinner as well, so have a pile of cookbooks piled on top of each other with the recipes I've picked out. He generally invites everyone he talks to and then tells me he will "do it all". What this entails is basically putting it in the oven
I should have popped in when I finished. I wouldn't call it a fun run either. I for one did not find it fun this year.

Enjoy Melbourne Cookie. I was lucky enough to score tickets to that game. A friend with business connections got tickets in the Guy McKenna Club, three course meal, drinks and guest speakers while getting to watch the game from prime seats. The trouble is now I want to watch football likethat all the time.

Lovely cupcakes Jamberie. A big cook up for me tonight, Vegetable Curry, Creamy Broccoli and Potato soup, and Tenina's Rhubarb and Strawberry soup.

I made this tonight for lunches this week. I couldn't get a zucchini so I used eggplant instead. I am very pleased with the result.

Made this tonight. It is delicious. I would prefer it a little thicker so next time I would reduce the water or increase the cauliflower.

Last night I tried a recipe from the skinnymixer that my Dd reccommended. It was Macaroni and Cheese but had lots of pureed veggies in it. DW and I both liked it. It is a great way to hide veggies from those fussy eaters.

That sounds interesting Chookie. I am not sure if I would like it for breakfast but It sounds like a nice spread for lunches. I like smoked salmon with cottage cheese on toast for breakfast.
I have been making porridge most work mornings. I use someones reicpe from here (I cant remember who's it is) and have modified it a little. I chop a small apple then add the oats, about 5-10 grams of sugar some sultanas, nutmeg and cinnamon. I wish I could figure out a way add some protien to this then it would be perfect.

Glad you are all moved and mostly settled in Gert. I sometimes think an over 55 lifestyle place would be grteat but DW doesn't feel the same way.
I wetn to see Dirty Dancing at the Crown Theatre yesterday. I like the theatre and musicals but was not intereseted in this one however DW's step sister really wanted to go so we agreed to go with her and her husband to be social. The show was average, there are a few scenes that they could have done much better on with props etc or the should have just been left out.
The worst part though was the two 'ladies' that came in late and had the seats next to us. It was bad enough that they were late (but that seams to be almost normal now days) but one of them had drowned herself in porfume and htne they began talking. When aske to please be quite she flatly refused.
They sang along to the songs, stood up to get a better view and were just plain ignorant. I think they were both somewhat intoxicated (it was a mtaniee performance) and then were abusive becuase we ruined the show for them. She tried telling me that her behavour was perfectly acceptable in London.
I told her sh should go back to London.
