Lovely labels and would love the recipe for suprise biscuits.
Haven't made chow mein in ages and yours looks delicious Julie.
Hoping to make 3 cheese and spinach scrolls today and send 1/2 home with the window cleaner, he has been keeping the windows sparkling since we bought the house, 10 years ago last March.

Chookie, I like your new labels.

Chow mein is a popular meal here.  When the children were young they called it green meat.  It took me a long time to work out what they wanted the first time they requested green meat.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Michele, have just posted the Surprise biscuits on my Blog.  Will post on Forum when I have a moment.  Blog has new format and I lost what I had typed the first time.  :'(
Just finished Medlar Jelly. Made 5 jars. Unique flavour.  Bit like strong Apple Jelly. Nice.

Neighbour gave me the recipe and said she didn’t know why the were called Surprise. I now think I know.   The first lot I left plain.  The second lot I added coconut and made Monte Carlos.  This last lot I added walnuts, dried sour cherries and choc chips.

So the surprise is more for the biscuit itself, not the cook Chookie.  It sounds like a very good biscuit recipe.

I had some mashed potato left over and wanted to use it in some bread. I ended up making these rolls from farfallina. https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5828.msg75315#msg75315
They have a lovely texture and the crust stays crunchy.

Cookie, the potato rolls look lovely.
KATIE, I also often make a Tomato lentil soup. My recipe is a 5.2 recipe. I add carrot and celery also to the recipe.

I LOVE soup, you have all got me going now with ideas for my next cooking spree.  I made a huge pot of minestrone last weekend and it has been great to have it at lunch time on these colder days.  I like the sound of Thermobexta's, K Atie, ... must check it out to make sure it is vegetarian (but that has never stopped me before, mind you, I will just adapt it).

I also made Tenina’s Almond Chunky Monkey Icecream. It’s made using frozen bananas.

Not much sucess on your blog  Chookie. I type in suprise biscuits and nothing comes up..

Amazing cob loaf. Is your picnic loaf, the one you layer with meats, cheese, etc?

Marina, the Tomato and Red lentil soup is a good basic recipe as you can add whatever veggies you need to use up.
Yesterday I stuffed some Silverbeet leaves with Bol sauce mixed with some rice, covered with diced tomato and  baked.  Also Quinoa and broccoli. Mashed potatoes.  Also scones that turned out like bullets :-X. I used milk instead of cream.  GS ate them.  Must have been starving.
