I am on a mission to cook up all the stuff that has been sitting around.  We have some Pannetoni to use up.  Very happy to make this recipe.  Thank you to Thermomixer for the recipe and to everyone who has commented on this thread.  :)

I am here to report that I tried this recipe tonight with out of date cream and milk made up from milk power and it still made beautiful Dulche de Leche.  I am going to make Banoffee Pie with the rrecipe shared by Steph Berg.  http://www.stephberg.com/?p=1008

Thank you, all.  Very lovely.

Thank you, Farfallina.  I am making your puddings in my TM5 now.  I used Automatic Function.  Yummy.

Did I read somewhere that this is from the EDC and a couple of other books?

That could well be the case, Cookie1.

I too had seen it written in a few places online that this book is made up of recipes from the Everyday Cookbook (EDC) that did not make it into the Basic Cookbook, which came out in September 2014.

I have had a close look at the recipe list and checked the recipe titles against recipes in my old spiral-bound EDC and the new green-covered one.  I recognised 33 recipes out of 110 from the Everyday Cookbook.

I also spied quite a few others I recognised from the spiral-bound recipe books that used to be popular until everyone started to prefer the ones with a photo on every page.

 These include A Taste of Vegetarian (6  recipes), Gluten Free (3 ), Meat on the Menu (3 ), A Seafood Bounty (5 ), Budget Busters ( 1), Entertaining with Nico (1 ), past Thermomix calendars (3 ).

In other words, this is pretty much a Top of the Pops compilation, and so far has been very well received by my customers.

The chip is just so handy.  The recipes are not just copied straight across either.  I have noticed several that I've cooked so far have been scaled up for the larger size.

A couple of pics I found on the camera - must make this recipe again!

What a fabulous recipe!  Was this one of Tenina's?  Everyone at our meal tonight just *loved* it and wanted the recipe.  Thank you to cookie too.  Her yummy cream cheese pastry made for a beautiful pie.
