Some SD pancakes for dessert.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

The bread with the garlic and onion is very nice. Will make again. Use garlic granules not powder.

I harvested my basil plants today as they were starting to go to seed, made some pesto and have frozen it in ice-cube trays.

I had fridge clean out today, used some leftover mashed potato & veggies, added some creamed corn, rice and spring onions from the freezer and made 6 tuna patties.  Cooked up a bag of mushrooms as well using a recipe I found whilst culling my pile of magazine cut outs last night.

Superb cobs Chookie, how do you get them so crusty?, I could only dream  :o.  Must look for that 1 min recipe.

Love doing that sort of thing Judy.  I did similar on Saturday, used up some home made chicken stock from the freezer as a base for a big pot of vegie soup using up all the veg I had left over.  Turned it into a lovely, hearty soup (some of your crusty bread would have gone a treat with it Chookie  ;D).  I feel so satisfied when I do that (no waste)  :D

I love making a meal from leftovers Julie.  I toasted a muffin this morning and popped in a heated tuna patty for my breakfast. My latest thing is buying a huge cooked chicken for $6.99 from Costco, breaking it up and freezing all the pieces out flat so that I can take a some out for a sandwich or to add to soup, curry or a pasta dish. I get so many meals from that huge chicken.

That's a great idea Judy, certainly cuts down on waste.    I also freeze the chicken carcasses and when I have about 4 I make up a big pot of chicken stock in the pressure cooker and freeze that in 2 cup amounts.  :D

I have a SD loaf of bread trying very hard to rise. It's freezing today and it is really battling.
I'm also madly washing stuff from our trip. Cleaning the van and car etc.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Bought a very expensive jar of nut and seed paste at the Creswick Farmers market. Thought I could make it in the TMX.
While a friend was staying we had a go. Nice to have an extra taster on hand. It cost a 1/3. Will post recipe as good to add to soup, as a dip or fill celery sticks. Use as you would other nut butters but has an extra crunch from the seeds.
