Just saw the soup being demonstrated on the Mary Berry TV show CC. I like her shows since she is generous in sharing all her little tricks and tips.
I love watching Mary Berry on TV too Courton.I've met her twice and she is a very charming lady.

I had a laugh too Chookie, it's so long since I mashed potato by hand that I'd probably serve up a lumpy mash too.

We are still at DS's in Melbourne. I usually do the cooking unless we eat out. DiL was working, so I made 2 Curried Shepherds pies, one for dinner and one for their freezer.
DS mashed the potatoes by hand (with a potato masher) and did a very smooth job, I was impressed.
It was perfect weather for it tonight, apparently it only reached 13 today.

I think some of the problem with the mashed potatoes was that 2 were Dutch creams and one Pontiac.  They are ready at different times.  When I reheated them and mashed again , OK.
Kat, you are lucky to have DS mash for you. I only had a fork.
Tonight we had grilled whiting, mashed potato and salad from the garden. Followed by crepes.

I roasted 2 whole chickens last night, and a turkey roll. Cut them up this morning, and sealed them in bags for cold meat for my parents. :)

Yesterday I made a batch of Cookie1's Vanilla Yo Yo Biscuits uising cornflour and a little pinch of saffron in place of the custard powder.  I joined them with some vanilla butter cream.  Very nice.

Today a loaf of bread, some Umami Paste and soup for lunch.
