Hi alwaysis, welcome to the forum with your first posting.  I checked back through the comments and Quirky Jo mentions raw cashews so that confirms what I thought.

oh so yummy, and why would you introduce your kids to Milo if you didn't have to in the first place. Also just make up a batch of this for a good night kiss drink, or to make the slice - so good.

OMG! Like someone else here, Ive had my thermomix for about a year and seen this recipe several times but didn't think it could possibly work. Well I have just made my first batch (half a batch due to my lack of faith) and it is absolutely amazing!! WOW!! I would say it even 'dissolves' better than milo. I am in love! I don't know what the kids will think...they are irritatingly STILL carrying on about preferring things in packets (teenagers not as pliable as the five year old) so it will remain to be seen how this goes down. I have managed to get my 16 year old daughter having LSA on her yoghurt each morning so this might appeal to her. It most certainly appeals to me, thanks for the recipe!

I don't now if this helps anyone else but I made 'guy' version of this recipe. :) I used raw sugar instead of rapadurra though...

Linseed 40g
Sesame seeds 25g

Speed 9 approx 20 seconds

Sunflower seeds 20g
Almonds 75g
Brazil nuts 30g
Cashews 35g
Pecan nuts 30g
Pumpkin kernels (pepitas) 25g

Speed 9 approx 5-10 seconds

Raw sugar 220g
Cocoa 50g

Speed 7 approx 3 seconds

Done.

Made this today.  Fab and thanks to all who have made it and made suggestions.  I used the best Dutch Cocoa and Xylitol.  Tested it in a mug of hot milk.  I don't know what i did different but not gritty at all.  i am now going to make CP's biscuits and Chelsea's nutty Milo Slice.  Thanks a million.

Just finished our first batch in a THX milkshake, so have restocked the fridge with a freshest batch. Yum!

I made this today - and I wasn't as happy with the result as I expected to be. I mixed it with cold milk, and it simply sank to the bottom, so it felt like drinking a glass of plain milk with a very sweet solid chaser. I will try it again tonight with hot milk. I can see it will be nice sprinkled on icecream and in baking, so all is not lost.
