Plenty of liquid came out Helene, not a problem at all.

Judydawn... in the name of 'research'  ;) I made the Blushing Buck again yesterday evening and did some taste-testing  :o with a friend to compare your strained version against the original... side by side.

Your strained version came out the clear winner.  :D I was pleasantly surprised at the resulting consistency and after typing this note I will be adjusting the recipe on the blog accordingly. Hooray for INTERCONTINENTAL RECIPE-DEVELOPING TEAMWORK;D

Thanks so much for inspiring the improvement in this recipe!  :-*

Big cheers to you!

I finally found some blood oranges last week and tonight I decided it was time for another cocktail, hang waiting for the warmer weather!  Did the full recipe and thought I'd keep the leftovers for tomorrow night but it was too nice and I have managed to drink both glasses.  Been a while since I made it and had forgotten how nice it really was. Great work JD  ;D

Thanks for suggesting this one for the cocktail night. I'll pick up some blood oranges on the weekend while I'm away. They had them recently at the farm gate so hopefully will still have some.  ;) :-*

I was in a fruit & veg shop yesterday and had walked past the oranges before the sign saying "Blood Oranges" registered in my brain. This recipe just happened to "Pop" into my mind  ;) so it was a quick double back to grab a couple of the elusive oranges.
Could only hold out until 4.30pm to make the drink and like Judy had intended to have just 1 glass. HA HA what a joke. Drank the lot  :D :D  Very nice and you could make it with Vodka if preferred.

I will make mine tomorrow night. I think I'll bring some to the next get together, we can have a tiny taste each.

Bumping this for new forum members.  I am enjoying one right now and will go back for the remainder a bit later.  I saw the blood oranges the other day so bought 4, juiced and froze them so they were on hand when I was ready for this cocktail.
