Oh thank you once again Judy, I didn't even think to search.

Dumb question... How is it different from plain flour, for example. Is it just a finer grind???

It's ok Judy - I'm fortunate in that we are in the position to purchase outright, but it just doesn't seem right that I have to when I can keep that money in the offset account.
After all if we didnt have the cash, it could have meant that hubby may have had ammunition to say "nope, sorry, it's not meant to be!" And not bought one for me. Know what I mean??
Even before paperwork was filled out, we were told that sometimes the best finance candidates were knocked back and she had no idea why. I actually feel sorry for the reps.

You know what?? I reckon this is a scam by HO to boost sales. No joke.
My hubby is a chartered accountant and is on a massive wage. I also work full time (currently on maternity leave) and am on a decent wage. Our 12 months interest free was DECLINED!! I have no idea how. It makes no sense.
We think it's Suss primarily because his rejection was a mere second after he finished filling out the data online. The rep's comeback was "well, are you in a position to buy outright or the easy 3 payments". Nothing further about finding out why.
I would have loved to say to her "oh no don't worry about it then" but I really wanted it. Just a shame they wouldn't honour their offer - we shouldn't be forced to pay cash when we can very clearly afford any option.
Sorry about the vent, I just think it's ridiculous.

Thank you! It's in the oven right now. Could be a flop but heck, hubby will eat it.
I'm sure they will be delicious though.

Thanks everyone.
I've found myself scouring these threads for inspiration. And you ladies are an inspiring bunch indeed!

Hi all!
So I am ordering my TM on Monday.

Hubby was originally very much against it - long story short, I've just had another baby so i am on maternity leave (so no income) and hubby (bless him) is an accountant (read: tightarse!) so all I could do previously was buy the *hides* Thermochef.

My sister had a thermomix which is where I got the want for one from. (Sorry for the tragic English, I'm deprived of human contact right now!)

So anyway, as I'm sure you've all heard before, I hated using it. Everything stuck, it was soooooo fiddly pressing the buttons all the time, and the deal breaker... You can't put the bowl in the dishwasher to clean it.

Last week hubby picked the lid off the draining board and part of the locking mechanism snapped off!

I think from there he was happy to admit defeat and accept that it was inferior.
... And then the email from the rep came telling me of the current 12 mths interest free offer ...

Just a bit about myself... I am a mum of 4 boys, ages are 15, 13, 9 and 1 month. (Going back to work 1 April) we live in Melbourne.

The older 2 have ADHD however we have managed to eat fresh for quite some time which has made quite a difference.

I'm not really getting it to exclude preservatives or additives, I'm more getting it for the simplicity. I've been scouring through recipes and to be honest I'm really excited about learning how to use it whilst I'm on leave with the baby. First challenge will be bread... Then meals. I have 15-20 kilos I want to lose also, I'm hoping this will be a perk of the machine but all I really want to do is master quick usage before I return to work and my life resembles utter chaos!!

If you've got this far, thanks for reading... And I really appreciate the enthusiasm and the recipes around here.

Cathy
