On a beautiful sunny winter day 10 ladies from my Probus club went on a bus trip to the Golden Grove Garden Centre.  Had morning tea as soon as we arrived then had a show and tell of nursery items before being let loose to wander and purchase.  Punnets of pansies $1 so I grabbed some of them plus 2 tomato plants and a couple of shrubs.  It was most enjoyable.

Denise the top picture is a buckwheat mouselike cigar, filled with a lovely creamy caramel something or other. The green is a Yuzu sauce. It is served with a salted dulche de Le he ice cream.

The bottom one is a warm sticky date cake, kabocha cream,  edamame granola, sesame seed ice cream, and rum butterscotch sauce. The kabocha has s a Japanese pumpkin and it was so very, very nice. They were both so very decadent but an amazing mix of flavours.

Thanks Cookie. My mouth is watering 🤤

I went grocery shopping with DS this morning. From his garden I came home with mixed salad leaves, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes and raspberries. 😋

Breakfast in bed.  Feel very spoilt.  Ral makes a mean scrambled egg.
Made 24 Crumpets and 3 bread sticks.
Couple of hours in the veggie patch. Picked lots of Kale to make Kale Chips.  Also picked a Celeriac.
Next door neighbour visited.
Sun out, lovely.

How lovely to have breakfast in bed Chookie. I bet you felt like royalty. 👸
Yesterday we went into London to see GS and family. I played Top Rumps and Uno with GS. He loves beating his Nanny at card games 😂 Our SIL took us out for dinner which was lovely.  It was busy on the roads traveling back last night.
Today DH and I have watched the most incredible cricket test match between England and Australia on the TV.

Oscar looks so cheeky.
So I decided to got out with DH to check the ewes and lambs . Four hours later I got home , lunch had to be a quick bakery dash for a roll .
Oh it was a bit of a disaster as we ended up disturbing the ewes and they were having twins and triplets!! Then I would spot not one but three separate lambs abandoned . Pepper had to help catch a ewe that had a lamb stuck . DH pulled it out , sorry a bit graphic , we went back to check it and decided to mother up another lamb that it's mum was dying. Oops it was having another lamb . With the harsh weather lately quite a few died . That is Mother Nature for you .

Lovely photo Chookie.
KAtie nature can be very cruel. It sounds as though you are very busy.

Lovely photo Chookie.
As you said KAtie Nature can be cruel at times. I hope you don’t get too many fatalities due to the harsh weather.
