Pesto with whole wheat durum pasta. The pasta was made with local wheat and the basil was organically grown and both were from the local growers market this morning.

I do use my TMX to make the meat sauce and bechamel sauce Kath, but I don't actually follow a recipe. I just use a basic method: make meat sauce first, then bechamel, and then layer them in a casserole dish with lasagne sheets. I love doing my lasagne this way because its so easy to make variations on it. I can substitute any meat in the sauce (my top three would be beef, kangaroo or chicken), or I can use borlotti beans or lentils to make it vegetarian. I can use potato or sweet potato instead of pasta. I can add as many vegetables to my meat sauce as I want. I can add cheese to the bechamel or just sprinkle it on top :)
My meat sauce is pretty basic: onion, garlic, tinned tomatoes, tomato paste, herbs, minced meat, stock, worcestershire sauce, vegetables (carrot, celery, zucchini, cabbage, mushrooms, spinach, etc.) and cornflour to thicken. If I use a lot of vegetables that have high water contents, I don't add much water.
If I've made a big batch of napolitana sauce and have some in the freezer, I'll just defrost that and add my meat and vegetables to it.

Sorry, that probably wasn't helpful ;D ;D

Out for dinner tonight with family to celebrate another GD's birthday.

Dry Indian Beef Curry with Pappadums is on the menu for tonight.  We were supposed to be having naans as well but the urge to make sour dough bread for tomorrow came over me.

No CP, it's more like a coffee maple syrup flavour. Just substitute a tablespoon of wattleseeds for vanilla in the EDC basic icecream recipe. It really is worth trying.

Hamburgers, salad and Hally's mac and cheese.
