RAL thanks all for good wishes.  His platelets are still going up and down but within a better range.
K Atie, bad luck about the phone.  That is very hot.  Hope we don’t have any more extreme days like that.
We are going to Melbourne for 2 nights for a  little R and R. Will have a meal with DS and family.

Lovely news about Ral.  I’m glad the parking boys weren’t giving out tickets.

I love Melbourne too JulieO. I haven’t been over for quite a few years now.
What a nuisance to lose your phone KAtie. I’m sure DH will never do that again.

Melbourne is buzzing with Christmas cheer.  We saw about 50 big kids all dressed as Father Xmas’. The line to look at Myer Xmas window went right past DJs.  There were very loud buskers in Swanston Street until late last night and we went to Dragon Boat Chinese Restaurant for dinner. After settling in quiet old Ballarat it is all quite eye popping.
We are staying at the Pullman which is the completely renovated old Swanston.  Shopping today and dinner with DS and family.

Sounds wonderful Chookie especially with the kids dressing up and getting into the spirit.  Enjoy your shopping.  :D

It does, except the buskers late into the night. :D

I'm doing a house clean that will do until boxing day.

LOL Cookie, I didn't think of that!  ;D

I've been cleaning out part of my pantry, getting rid of older dried fruit and nuts and either vacuum packing them or putting into new clean containers (if I use them frequently).  Will be gradually going through the flours, grains etc a bit at a time as it's quite time consuming but a nice feeling once done.  :)

I cleaned out one of my pantry shelves last week and the inside waste bin was chockers Julie. I need to go through my pasta, rice and flour now - not using any of those items at the moment and they’re probably all out of date. Will not allow myself to carry so much stock again. I should have done it when the new kitchen went in but I was obviously busy with other things and found it easier to just put it all back without checking use by dates.

Slow start today , but oh so busy this afternoon!! DH needed our help so we zoomed up the paddock , no supplies water hat food ! Proud to say with a lot of help from DS I moved a field bin .. they are wide and round , going through the gates was close , DS said Mum don’t get to confident... this is because some of our workers in the past have taken out power line and today one collected the bridge rail and a whole wheel came off also the rail had to be repaired. Poor DH is not having a good run at all . Then tonight after DD swept out two field bins we found out the contractor canola front fell apart , this is not good ! Lucky ours is the same another job tomorrow, hours of harvest lost .
Thus I am completely tiered .Positive attitude. Sorry for the debriefing.

Wow Katie, you seem to take it all in your stride, I can't even imagine.  I felt like I'd had a busy day cleaning out part of my pantry!   :-))

Judy, sometimes it's just easier to put it back for another time.  Yesterday was my another time. I can actually see now what I've got so it has encouraged me to carry on.  :)

It must be cleaning out the pantry week as I also sorted out mine.  It was so disorganized that I couldn't things easily.
Did a quick trip into town to pick up the Christmas meat which was ordered, a few last minute things from the supermarket and then home.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

An excellent time to clean out our pantries ladies, it’s something we can cross off our New Year list of jobs to do.

I’ve been for a blood test, 3 in a week and my veins are usually not very cooperative. Today however things went well, I have a huge bruise to prove it. They’re  just keeping an eye on my low sodium levels.

Having carpet laid in my 3 bedrooms, it looks as though it’s going to be a long day.

Good idea to keep an eye on your sodium levels Judy, I think they are pretty important.
I went to my little Italian greengrocer this morning, so did ;the rest of the suburb.I then wizzed down and stocked up on what I needed.
I have boiled eggs, steamed potatoes, made jellies and 2 loaves of bread ready for preparation time tomorrow.
DH visited MIL as she has been in lock down for over 3 weeks. She was very glad to see him.
