Just made these Trudy and had to compromise as I didn't have enough ginger powder (I remembered what Bron said, never not do a recipe because you don't have the right ingredient so I used 1t ginger, 1/2t cinnamon and 1/2t nutmeg) and they were delicious.  Cooked them 15 minutes so they were nice and crunchy.  Will use 3 trays next time, not 2 as they mostly joined together but that wasn't a problem.  Mum will be getting the bulk of them otherwise I will eat too many of them!  Thanks for posting this recipe.

Well done JD! Pleased that they worked with the variation, reckon they were nicer than just ginger alone! ;) ;) ;)

I just made these GF and all I can say is YUMMO.

Have a few questions because my recipe made 37 big ones:

1. did you just do small teaspoon rolls?

2. did you flatten them down?

3. what temp do you bake yours on because I did mine on 180 degrees?

4. how do you stop the addiction??

Hi Jessiesgirl,

I'm glad you liked the biscuits.  Can't help with the addiction - sorry, I think that when I make these I'm the one who eats the most!!!!

Yes I do roll them into balls approx a teaspoons full at a time.  I like to really drench them in sugar and once the dough goes onto the tray I usually top up the sugar,  No I do not flaten them out they seem to do that while they are cooking.

I bake them in a moderate oven which is 180C or 350F.

Just had a little look over the recipes with the most views in this particular section, and it seems that those with the most reads  will score highly with:

1. Chocolate (who would have thought???)
2. Ginger
3. Orange/Lemon
4. Banana

Anything in relation to allergies eg peanuts (oops nearly typed something else without the "t") or relating to allergies or specific dietry needs gets less reads ie. lower and probably could say would be less appealing to TMXFM browers interested firstly by recipe names. Couldn't help but notice after wondering what most recipes people were interested in...

Just knocked up a batch. Really good.  I added a teaspoon of freshly grated ginger fir a real ginger kick.  Fantastic.
