I've never tried roo mince - does it have a smell when cooking it? Had finely it sliced and cooked rare a few times and didn't particularly care for it.

We had butterflied roast pork cooked sous vide for 12 hours, brussell sprouts and sweet potato cooked in the pressure cooker and zucchini and green beans steamed in the Thermomix....dinner was on the table 20 minutes after I walked in from work....I LOVE my toys.  I now have steel cut oats with mango & pineapple cooking overnight for breakfast tomorrow.

I mince my own skippy fillets Mich ;D I use it because it is so much healthier and more economical than beef or lamb :) And I think it tastes just as good, but I don't have an aquired palate to red meats :-))

Michele, I'm afraid to say that I really dislike the smell of roo mince cooking- I don't mind eating it, but I don't like cooking it :-\
I have made tuna mornay in thermie for dinner tonight, finished with melted cheese under the griller.
Oops, it was salmon mornay, not tuna ???

We had crabs and salad with MJ' hash browns.
