I used sunrice arborio rice instead of the Italian arborio that I usually use in my failed garlic orawn risotto. Now I have to work out what to do with the rest of the packet because I don't want to use it for risotto again.

I'd use it for Bron's steamed garlic rice ES and it would be OK for rice pudding too.  I like the one in MWOC.

that sounds interesting Amy.

We are having sausage roll pies. Basically they are sausage roll mix which is put into muffin tins that have been lined with bacon and then topped with mashed potato and tasty cheese and then cooked in the oven. It's terrible how much fat comes out of them but they are so tasty so just have them as a treat every six months or so.

Having an improvised bacon and leek quiche tonight with salad.  Fingers crossed it sorta works (just googled a few recipes and used what I had).
At least everyone likes salad.  ;)

Yum, Wonder, I like the sound of those pies.

Good luck with the quiche Jo.
Wonder, the sausage roll pies sound delish.

We are having a cross between Judy & Tenons's corned beef.

We had rissoles and veggies. Nothing fancy.

Slight change of plans. Mum and SD were still full from lunch so we just had cheese and salad sandwiches for dinner :-))

Slow cooked lamb chops in gravy with roast potatoes & kumara, steamed corn, carrot, brocolli & beans, and zucchini muffins.  :)
