Sun Bran Loaf
Ingredients
1 cup bran or all bran - 80g
3/4 cup raw sugar - 150g
1 cup sultanas - 150g
1 1/4 cups milk - 300g
1 1/2 cups SR flour - 270g
Method
Mix the bran flakes, sultanas, sugar and milk together in the bowl. Let stand for at least 2 hours. Grease a loaf tin. Sift the flour onto the bran mixture and mix well. Bake in the tin at 1800C for about 1 hour. This can be served sliced and buttered or plain.
If you wanted to use the TMX for this I would let the mixture stand in a bowl and add it to the just before you mix it. Then add the flour and mix on to stop the sultanas being broken up, just long enough to incorporate the flour.
