Cookie most days he is good, some nights in pain.
He can't work properly (lift anything) till August.

He is loving cooking, with all day to prepare, and slow cook, or us  the thermie to make things.

Roast boned lamb in BBQUE with roast potatoes pumpkin and carrot . “Melt in the mouth lamb “ DS happy to have a home cooked meal !! Steamed greens in microwave, Getting to hot to cook inside .

Obbie you will appreciate the help. As the cool change came in we had Pea and Ham soup.  The local IGA shop sells roasted ham hocks.  I cut some of the meat off to have with salad and popped the rest into SC for the soup.

We have a couple of ham bones in the freezer waiting for a cool few days. There is nothing like Pea and Ham soup.

I made a vegetable soup using up all the vegetables that were in my fridge. DS brought me some homemade chicken stock so used that instead of vegetable stock.

Its great DH loves cooking, and never really had the time, now he has all the time to experiment, and having roasts ans slow cooked meals during the week is great.
 *: is even getting used by DH.

We had Hasselback chicken tonight. It's basically chicken breast, slit downwards with a mixture of cheese, garlic and onion with spinach stuffed into the slits. Then baked for 20 minutes. It's a Tenina recipe.
