Just a loaf of bread and steaming rice to accompany dinner tonight. I made Courgette soup yesterday. DS neighbour keeps giving him courgettes which he then passes onto me.

I really must post the recipe for Risotto as it is an adaption of the one in the Basic TMX cook book, but much nicer.  I spoke to Tenina about this several years ago and she said she did something similar. It is basically more liquid, longer cooking time and the opportunity for more add ins.

This is from the Age Newspaper today. I really had to smile as I think my recipe is better as it is based on SD.

Just made Hazelnut Mocha Energy Bites - very quick, tasty and easy.  I have put the adapted recipe on the forum under vegetarian (because it is  ;D) but I think it should go under raw recipes or starters and snacks ... I am not sure how to transfer this so perhaps one of our very helpful moderators can do this for me.  Thanks ladies.

Mixed up 2 lots of overnight SD.  Will cook one plain Wholemeal SD loaf.  The other I will decide in half and make a Wholemeal fruit loaf and a Wholemeal olive and rosemary loaf.

No cooking here as we are away in the van. We had a coffee at Bindoon at their bakery which has quite a name. As we went in I saw that they had a loaf of smoked sourdough bread.  I thought I would buy it as we left, however it was sold. We hope to call in there on the way home so I will get one then if they have any. I’m intrigued.

Sounds interesting Cookie.  You can buy smoke extract.  I wonder if that is what is used.

I am experimenting with making Vegan butter.  Will use what I have made in biscuits today.

The vegan butter was not successful.  Will give it another go.  Used what I had made into Jam drop biscuits as it had a decidedly coconut flavour.  I use Quince Paste, cut into cubes instead of jam. ( recipe posted)
