Morning everyone. Your lunch looks lovely Chookie.

Thanks for the well wishes. I managed to sleep a bit last night, but not much. I'm doing ok after the surgery, it only hurts when I move! Waiting for visit from the surgeon now. My blood pressure is a little low and I'm only allowed fluids for now, so I'm not confident I'll be heading home today.

If you can take a day to rest tn hosp then take advantage but then get the hell out of there.  No place better  to pick up a nasty than a hospital.

I bet you are happy it is all over and done with.

Don't  move, and take all the drugs. You will be ok in a day or two.

Good to near from you Katie, take it easy and be home soon.  ;D

DH and I went out to lunch today. We are still recovering from the lurgy but an outing was fun. Collected various things and got some groceries on the way home. DD and DS coming soon for a few days, but not overlapping this time.

Tonight we watched a funny movie on amazon prime on our 30 day free trial.

Get well soon Katie.  :-* Glad the surgery is over.

I am just having a proud mummy moment - just had a call from the school to say both my school girls are up for an award in the final assembly tomorrow.... 8) 8) 8) (I have no idea what for, and they have no idea they are even getting one!) ;D

Nice to hear from you Katie, it's not surprising it's painful to move - you did have a few things done to you.  You must be starving if you're only allowed fluids, hopefully the surgeon's visit will bring good news but another day in hospital will probably be the go.  Nice to see you are now able to communicate with the outside world. Take care  :-* :-*

Lovely surprise for all of you then astarra.

How nice you and DH could have a meal out DJ, that alone has to make you feel better - being out and about and not having to cook as well.
Enjoy the kids' visit.

DJ, nice to get out.  In my head I imagined blue sky, warm etc but then remembered where you are. Hopefully pleasant weather for you. Rug up. X
Astarra, how exciting.  How many do of your girls at school?

Good to see you posting Katie, onwards and upwards and you will soon be feeling better.  I reckon you need to think a week ahead , pop a note in your diary to see how you feel then, rather than each day.  It all takes time and just don't move!

DD,  sorry to hear about your dog.
We have been over to near Dalesford today to pick up our Xmas ham.
Made Ciabatta, 2 loaves of SD Swiss Grain bread. Now baking Cantucci and later coconut Macaroons.  If time , will have a go at the rolled pork rind.  Also need to make some Lemon Bliss balls.
