Trudy take care, sounds nasty, glad you enjoy GBBO! I think it's getting v ambitious now, and some of the challenges are very hard.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes.  If I hadn't had mumps before you would think that's what I have!!!!   I now know it's my lympth glands that are swollen.  Your right Judy I'm over all this "sitting around".

DJ, I love that programme and feel sorry for them when they have to leave.  We are quite a bit behind you guys I think but some of the things the contestants make really inspire you.

Poor you Trudy, well believe it or not Trudy I had mumps twice.... 8 yrs apart, both sides age 22 and 14! The reason we all remember is that they were Olympic years and I watched the telly!
Hope you've seen the dr?

Good morning everyone, a rather nice day here 30o only expected before it gets hotter.

Pouring rain sounds wonderful Robyn, we could do with a bit of rain.

Enjoy your special day with the family Brenda.

Oh! No DJ I didn't want to hear that!!!!!    No I haven't been to the doctor but perhaps it's now on the agenda for tomorrow!
I had such a good dose when I had them I thought that would be it!!!!!
Kid's were coming for dinner tonight but Wayne just told them not to.  I just don't want them to catch anything even though it's probably them who gave it to me.
Thanks for thinking of me.

Good evening everyone.
Good morning DJ and northern friends.

A beautiful sunny day here but still cold.
Had a great walk this morning. The birds were very active.I heard a couple of Woodpeckers. The Blackbirds were busy looking for nesting material and saw a couple of Crows squabbling over territory.Looking out of my window here I can see a pair of Blue Tits checking out one of our nesting boxes. Not sure if the female is impressed with the accommodation but the male is fussing around her and the box. :D :D

Birds are so interesting to watch Denise, especially when they're getting ready to start a family.

They sound wonderful Denise. I love birds. We have a few come in daily for some food. I was a bit slow going out to a mud lark this afternoon and he came right up to the door and squawked. We have galahs, magpies and of course the inevitable doves.

Trudy I do hope you solve the swollen neck problem. Is it painful?  I guess if it is mumps it would be. Poor you.

Hi everyone. Haven't been on for so long as life here has been so very busy.
Hope you are all doing well.
Some good news to announce as my DS and DIL are expecting baby number two in June and so far all good. Little Sophie who is now 3 is very excited to be having a little brother or sister and for us this will be GK 12 c.
Just back from our family holiday which was to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and my double 30th birthday  ;D
We all  21 of us which was our 4 children, their husbands and wives and our GK's  had a great time and now all back to normal routine.
Have missed this special forum and hopefully will be posting again as normal.
Trudy hope you feel better soon  :)
