Hi jd

Would it be possible to create a thread just for icecream recipes as i know there are a few and there are alot of members in oz and asia with the hot summer already started??

Who would be interested in a go to thread for icecream recipes???

It could also encourage others to add to it to have even more recipes..thoughts??

Frozzie, someone had already beat you to this idea.  A thread already exists.... I refer to it a lot for icecream inspiration.

Not sure what you mean here Kim.

Ice-cream is a dessert so if you go to desserts, the links to all ice-cream/sorbet recipes is stickied to stay at the top.  I don't think we can have separate categories on the home page for every type of dessert.  I thought by doing the list of links, it would make it so much easier for everyone to see at a glance all the different recipes in one place.  A simple click on the link and you are taken to the recipe.

I understand but meant as it is also a snack well it is when you have kids .. Especially in hot weather ... after school etc.. weekend afternoons ...i just meant itmight of beingworthy of a seperate thread but didnt realise it also had a sticky.. Just thinking aloud jd is all :) was just a thought.. It may be because idont really consider icecream to be a dessert... More a side to a dessert .. I dont know probably just me lol!!

No worries Kim, we are allowed to think and toss ideas around  ;D

Ice-cream could well be in snacks or children's food but I think most people consider it a dessert - don't they?

Yes I would think that its more of a dessert, even tho... (damn now I just can't explain myself other than what frozzie is saying) however I would always look under Dessert if I wanted to find icecream  :D
