Thanks for that, Mark.  Enjoyed watching the video, too.  Might even press the KA into service! (as my DS had resorted to calling it Mum's museum piece after we acquired the TMX  ;D ;D

Probably the heat, Robyn.... Several of mine are doing a mid summer moult and not laying ...but the best has been 7 from 6 when someone managed to lay twice in the one day.... Never thought that was possible!!

We were just given some fresh eggs from our neighbours chooks, straight from underneath the chickens - so we are having scrambled eggs with grilled ham and tomatoes and fresh basil.

Aren't they the best, Karen! When I've given our eggs away I've always been told how good they were. I didn't pay too much attention to the compliment as I used to think  an egg is an egg..... until a while back I had a half dozen eggs from the local shop. Oh my goodness!! What a difference!! I even had to toss one of them. I count mine getting old when they're over a week! ;D store bought eggs can be 6+ weeks old I'm told.

Hi Bootobethin - I have a recipe from a preserving workshop I went to some time ago . . . it's not a TMX recipe but a lovely one nonetheless ;)   Be more than happy to pm it to you if you'd like to check it out . . .

I have the Philips XL and I love it. No smoking no fuss, dead easy to use and clean. I was very skeptical at first but find I am using it most days for things I never thought I would from simply ,roasting a tomato  for breakfast to full on meals. I haven't used my oven in months.

Gert

Thanks Gert

Gert, which model did you get? I take it from your comment that you'd be recommending it? :)

Even consultants don't know until the beginning of each month . . . it's a bit of a gamble = but this incentive is a pretty good one.  I do like the oval thermoserver.  Good luck!
