Chit Chat / What are you been cooking today
« on: May 17, 2026, 12:18:41 pm »
We hope to go away on Tuesday for a few days. Therefore we all needed bread. I made a rye SD, a Classic loaf, a fruit loaf and the Turkish Rolls.

We had Minestrone from Cookidoo. It’s not the best. I won’t make that recipe again. I made some Turkish rolls from Tenina and they were very nice.

Thanks Mab and KAtie. I simply sent an email to Mr IT. He said to email him everytime it’s down, but then he doesn’t do anything. 😡😡

Hi all. I decided to email MM and Mr IT again, but be very pointed. This is the reply I received from Mr IT.
Hello

I was out so I didn't notice it was down. Will put it online in the meantime.

The problem is that probably we need to upgrade the server, but at this moment the value we make from the ads do not cover the cost.

We don't want to make money from the forum, but we need to figure a way that the forum pays it's costs.

Do you have any ideias how?

We are talking of a cost of around 100€ a year. But I can give you a drill down of the costs and we an figure a more stable solution.

Regards

I may reply, or may not. There seems to be lots of ads and I’m sure they must make enough money. I hope everyone is well. ❌❌

That’s not good re the mince Mab. I think a lot of people use it. I know I do.

I see that people over 75 can now receive a RSV injection.  We’ll have our flu, then the RSV  a few weeks later.

Enjoy your cooking Judy.
We had a Chicken, Bacon and Pasta dish from Skinnymixer’s new book. It was quite tasty.

I made a Classic Loaf today but didn’t use sourdough. I just used extra yeast and a bit more water. It was very successful.

I made some Peanut Jam Drops today. They have peanut butter, and peanuts in them. They are lovely.
