I'm sure baggage handlers take great pride in smashing anything new/good around. Our suitcases are very old looking and I'm sure they'll die one day soon.
Andie, your luggage must be very beautiful. Congratulations on dooing that.
Chelsea, that is awful. I didn't realise such things could happen.

Judy, I rolled mine about 3mm thick. I found them to be very short as they crumbled when you picked them up. I loved the taste though and the recipe didn't really make that many.

Great photo. As long as they don't jump out of the oven and run away saying 'you can't catch me I'm a......................gingerbread...............'

That is a nuisance. I wrecked some marmalade recently putting too much of the white pith and not just the zest. As Judy says someone else may try it and report back.

Yes Judy, you would know. I used a DAnish Castello for mine and you can taste it.

Thanks for that Judy. It's very helpful when someone else has made things and commented on them.

I've made this Judy and forgot to do a review. We really liked them and I hope to do some for a Christmas party on SAturday night. I've volunteered to do all the dips etc, no one realises how quick and easy it will be for me.

I guess we're different yet again. I love flying but DH hates it so we go everywhere with our caravan on behind us. I love those sorts of holidays too as we meet so many lovely people. The next trip will have Termite coming with us. He's opnly been to Monkey Mia with us so far.

I glanced in a book at a friends place and it had liquorice icecream in. I think it was a George Calambouris (?) book. He just melted the liquorice in the milk before making the icecream. I've been meaning to try it.

I used my own fruit mince, but bottled would be fine. They are nothing like a plum pudding. Very light in colour and tasty. Not a heavy pudding at all. I used figs, apricots and pineapple and also mango in mine. Very different. I thought they had gone soggy like yours did and was very disappointed, but they firmed up. I then reheated a couple in the microwave (while the custard cooked) and Mmmmmmmmmmm. If people are expecting a traditional pudding this may disappoint. My guests are getting them and hopefully will enjoy them.
