A Big Hello from Sydney!
« on: July 11, 2012, 04:28:03 pm »
Hi Everyone!! I am so excited to be finally posting here as I have been ogling recipes on this forum since I first laid eyes on the Thermomix at a friend's house.  :D
So funny, I initially thought it was a pressure cooker but of course I have since found out it is so much more! Once I found what an amazing machine it was, I knew I had to have one! Fortunately, Hubby is a bit of a 'Gadget Man' so he was quite excited by the Thermomix and now we have our very own Thermomix! :D
I have since made pasta (first ever time) which was so easy and fast, ice cream, food for Bub, daily brekkie milk shakes, orange almond cake and a few other things. I have to admit that I am not a very good cook normally, but the Thermomix has reallly increased my confidence.  I would like to also thank everyone on this forum for making it such a great resource for Thermomix newbies like me.  I just love reading all the wonderful posts and recipes and the enthusiasm people have for the Thermomix is infectious! Sincerely yours, Newbie from Sydney xox

Nhatsta welcome to the forum, you were lucky that your DH was easy to convince that you needed a TM. A lot of other people really had to work on their DH's to convince them.
Sounds like you have been pretty busy since having your TM. :)

A very warm welcome on this cold and dreary Sydney morning, nhatsa!! :D  As far as I'm concerned, virtually all you'd need in your kitchen is your TMX and this forum!  So many tweaked, tried and true suggestions and all the help you'll ever wish to find!

Thank you so much ladies for your warm welcome and kind words. :D
Yes, I was very lucky my Hubby was willing to buy the Thermomix. Truth be told, he was the one who encouraged me to buy it so he could have a go at it himself! We have only had the Thermomix for 3 weeks, and I think he has used it more than me. his favourite recipe has been the lemon/lime sorbet, even though it is freezing here in Sydney!
He just loves gadgets, and to him the Thermomix is the ultimate gadget ... aside from his trusty Weber bbq that is.

Hi nhatsta, welcome to the forum. After having my TMX for nearly 4 years, cooking is still very exciting especially when using
new recipes from the forum as well as from the TMX books.
All the best :)
