When I make pies in the pie maker, I save the pastry trimmings, freeze it in the blue plastic that separates the sheets.  When I have enough, I use it to make more pies. Today I made 12 apple an 2 Ratatouille pies.
I am straining the liquid off the cooked Quinces.  There is a lot of pulp leftover.  I am wondering if I put it through the mouli. Could I use it to make Quince paste.  I could make leather out of it.

Do you find that the pastry shrinks when you reroll it?

Michele, no the pastry behaves itself.
Yesterday I made the quince jelly.  It is so nice that the quinces that I saved to make the Quince paste will now also be made into jelly.

Nice labels for giving home made gifts Chookie.  When recently updating my spices I ordered new labels which I'm very happy with too.  :D

Gorgeous labels Chookie. So very special.
It's cooking weather here today but we don't need bread or biscuits.

Love the labels Chookie, with the amount of jam etc you make and give away I hope you ordered thousands of them LOL

Today I made a batch of Johnro’s Macaroni Beef -  https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4246.0 and a SC pulled beef recipe https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=16172.0

Judy I’m pleased with the labels, however as they are transparent,  I can only use them on white, gold or silver lids, or pale coloured jams.  They don’t show up on dark coloured jams or sauces. I do have other labels that I can use on the dark coloured ones. And yes I do have lots of labels.  When I get some that I particularly like I copy them by printing on adhesive backed paper.  I used to decorate plain ones by hand.  Bit lazy in my old age.

Might make some Pear, lemon and Cardamon chutney.  Also more SD crumpets as they seem to walk out the door.  Seem to be making about 20 a week.

Made double batch of Surprise biscuits.  Must post recipe as I am finding it very handy and everyone loves them.  Neighbour gave me the recipe and said she didn’t know why the were called Surprise. I now think I know.   The first lot I left plain.  The second lot I added coconut and made Monte Carlos.  This last lot I added walnuts, dried sour cherries and choc chips.
Didn’t make the chutney yesterday. Maybe today.
