I seem to be making this once or twice a week in the hot weather.
It is so easy and tasty.
Thanks for the recipe.

Made this for dinner tonight. 22 month old DD inhaled a huge bowl and then asked for more! I actually cooked some macaroni and powered some sauce and chicken over it.

Used 1 small birds eye de seeded and after taking some out for DD, I added 3 more in the thermoserver. Was really yum! I didn't thicken it as we like lots of sauce. Next time I think I will double the sweet chili, fish oil and Kicap manis to balance the more saucy dish. But DH and I both had seconds too!

I made this last night and we really enjoyed it.  I have not used my TM a lot and am just getting back into it.  Can someone tell me if I can cook rice in the basket while the chicken is cooking and after a bit of time, add the Varoma dish with some sugar snap peas to the top so it would be a complete meal?  I did cook those items separately but wondered if I could do them all at the same time.  Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it Elsie but sorry, it isn't an all in one meal.  Firstly, there wouldn't be room in the bowl to add the steaming basket of rice and secondly, rice is cooked at varoma temperature. At a pInch you may be able to put something like sugar snap peas in the varoma whilst the chicken is cooking, they may cook at 100 but generally you need to cook anything in the varoma on varoma temperature.

I would cook the chicken first, it's even better done the day before or earlier that morning so that the flavour has a chance to really come through.

We do have an all in one meals section on the home page which you may like to check out.

Thank you, Judy.  We liked this dish so much we are having it again tonight.  I will try the peas just to see what happens and will do the rice as I always do it - in the microwave.  I have looked at the all in one meals section but there is so much information on this forum that I still have a lot of looking to do!

This is still a firm favourite for us.

I've taken to adding some frozen Chinese vegetables towards the end to bulk it up.

I do rice in microwave to serve.

We had it the other night. I made it early and put it in the thermoserver and then cooked the rice in the thermomix.

I finally got around to making this for dinner tonight. I added 250ml of coconut milk and used chicken thighs. I didn't add the basil and coriander until the 10 mins had passed at which point I topped up the jug with veggies and cooked for another 10 minutes. We all enjoyed it, but it was a little spicy for DS, so next time I'd omit the chili at the beginning and add it at the table for the adults. DH also asked for more sauce, so next time I'd also increase the coconut milk to 300ml. I served it with rice and a sprinkling of roasted cashews.
