Sounds great Hally.

Went out to lunch, swopped spinach from garden with neighbour for apples.
Had a rest today, caught up in some tv, and played with nephew on iPad.

The day started out well and I went to the movies with friends followed by lunch. I had a beautiful yellow and apricot flag iris flowering out the front of my house, but when I returned, I noticed the flower was no longer there. On further investigation, the whole plant was missing, as was another one next to it that had a flower spike.
To top it off, I was driving with a friend to a class this evening and a kind driver in the next lane signalled to us that my car had a flat tyre. We called the RAA, the tyre was expertly changed but we missed our class.
When I get cross, I bake. I have a loaf of bread on its second rise as we speak :o

Oh dear how awful.
We had two scruffy men on the doorstep early this morning wanting water in a bottle for their car.
Makes me very suspicious especially as I couldn't see the car. They weren't locals, I think they were from Eastern Europe.

Poor you ES.
DJ I don't like the sound of them.
My DH sold the teardrop caravan today. A few hours after the person picked it up he had a phone call from someone that had advertised for a teardrop but ours wasn't suitable. The person we sold it to had contacted him to buy the teardrop but he had added $2000 onto it from what he paid us. We had a real laugh over it.
DH plans to build another one now!
ES I had my rosemary growing in the front garden. When we got back from Birdsville it had been stolen. I can I,agile how cross you were.

What a day ES, such a horrid person stealing your plants.  You have such a tight knit little street there, it's amazing no one saw anything. Then to miss your class because of a flat tyre, well it just wasn't your day but the shining light at the end of all that was your loaf of bread.  Something finally went right for you.  Have a better day tomorrow dear girl.

DJ I'm glad you weren't home alone when the scruffy guys visited, how isolated is your property.

Cheeky beggar Cookie, he thought he had a quick sale and huge profit there.

What a bad day for you ES.Plant theft,a flat and missing your class.Your bread looked good though ;) ;D

The morning callers sound dodgy to me DJ.Looking for stuff to nick.I hope you are storing stuff well hidden.

Had my hair cut, then had lunch with a friend. We both looked around a Antique shop, you will be pleased to know I didn't buy anything there :D :D After dropping my friend at her house I called in at the Post Office and posted my SS parcel ;) ;) On the way home I called into an ironmongery stores and bought some bottles to make more Plum Liqueur :-)) ;D

ES sorry to hear about your bad day, I can never understand why people do that.  I have had people come and ask for a cutting from a particular plant and am only to happy to give them one.  Hope today is much better for you.
Don't like the sound of those callers either DJ, take care :)
I noticed that plum liqueur recipe yesterday CC and we have two plums trees covered in flowers at the moment so that recipe will come in very handy this year.
Have bread to bake today, not much else planned as the day is overcast again!!

ES,  it is good to bake bread when you have had a rotten day.  Hope today is much better.
Quiet day here, will bake SDLoaf that has been proving over night.  Will reread  the letter I wrote last night to Captain's Choice about the Turkey Trip and post it tomorrow if it seems OK.  Talk to our travel agent about our insurance claim relating to trip.  Will be glad to get these nasty jobs out of the way.

ES, sorry to hear of your bad day.  My DD2 had a rear window smashed on her car last week, parked out the front. Not a nice feeling to have people like that around. A few weeks ago someone stole my m&d's bird bath from their front.
Hally, love Chris Angel have you seen any Derren Brown?
Busy here with the beginings of reunification for our FS.

ES, sorry about your bad day.  We had irises stolen from our front yard in our previous house too.  If they wanted them so badly they could just have asked for a rhizome and I would have gladly given it to them.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
