Judy maybe you an downsize and empty your stand alone freezer now. Would save power.

I think I'd rather get rid of the little one Gert, I can't see myself ever doing without the big freezer now.  Just having one less appliance running would save electricity costs.

Ummm judy a freezer works much more efficiently if it is full. No point running a big one near empty. Just like the beer fridge!

Since I downsize dramatically last year I find I occasionally miss freezer space when I see a sale but there will be another sale Nother day and I really I have no need to freeze much as the shopping centre is only 6 minutes away. I won't starve, ;D

I have a long way to go before my freezers will be empty Gert so I'll see how I go.  My fridge freezer never seems to go down at all - it may after I do a new inventory though if there are packets in there that just aren't being used from one tidy up to the next.

Happy birthday to your DD Denise.

Happy birthday to DD CC.
Nikkit I've never heard of buckle bunnies. What a funny name. Where have been all my life??

I cleaned out my linen cupboard today (Judy my freezer is a tidy narrow upright.....can't lose anything as there is no room to hide!) Got rid of the old mismatched crusty towels, face washers, etc shoved up the back.  Cleaned the bathrooms, did some washing, walked the dog and the children, went for a 5km run and then hopped on the net to look at new matching linen 😊

Kribbitts rock. I love mine and do not know how I ever got along without it. I should really give my old more expensive stands away.

Hi CC - happy birthday and many happy returns to your DD!!

Speaking of freezers . . . does anyone know how long chestnuts last in the freezer?    We picked oodles last Easter and have just found a couple of bags of them all tucked away in the kitchen freezer . . . . would love to be able to use them in some way - any advice much appreciated!! :D

Just had a quick look on the net Kimmy - some say they can be frozen for several months but one said 12 months so they should still be fine to use. What do you normally do with them?

If you can't figure it out send them to me....... ;D

I'm exhausted reading all this. It took me all day to do a little bit of ironing, two sourdough loaves and the DreamPot dinner.
