I will thanks Julie, the seats sold very quickly. It’s going to be the warmest day this week before the rain coming on Saturday.  I’m looking forward to that so that I can curl up like cookie and do nothing.  I’ve been pretty busy keeping the garden tidy for DD lately and the rain will be a good excuse to do nothing outside.  I even forgot I had an Opthamolgist appointment today but was surprised they didn’t ring or contact me as most specialists do these days to remind we oldies of our appointments.  I’ll have to give them a ring in the morning, this is the first time I’ve done that.
They must love it when you go in for your checks cookie, they rarely let you out without some spots do they?
I’ve also bought seedlings from Bunnings this week (pansies), didn’t buy enough so picked up more from the local nursery.  I’m all ready for the rain now.

It’s been a very busy week . Life is never straight forward. My closest girlfriend had a on farm accident . it Is times like this you believe that people are made of very tough stuff. Firstly she is alive and will have a lot of rehab . So another friend and I spent a few days fixing up her house to make sure everything will be fine . There is always so much happening on a farm so neighbors and workers are all pulling together to make sure all will be ok . Her kids are amazing and really they had fixed everything up too, incredible amazing and thoughtful they are .

Farm accidents can be nasty KAtie. I'm glad your friend is alive and it is very sweet of you to go to her house.
I had a scan on my wrist this morning.  I hope to have another cortisone injection in it next week. It is some form of tendonitis or something. The injection I had in December almost fixed it, so time for another one.

Your friend is lucky to have her family, friends and neighbours looking out for her K Atie.  I wish her a speedy and full recovery.
You had a good 6 months from your last injection cookie, hopefully you will get at least the same or more from the next one.

K ATIE, that sounds nasty.  There is so much that can happen on a farm. Good on you for helping. Hope your friend recovers soon.
Cookie, I hope the injection works ok and lasts as long as the previous one.
Not much happening today. Might tidy another kitchen draw.
Yesterday a funny thing happened. I went to Chemist shop to collect some pills.  I haven’t been for some time.  The Pharmacist asked one of the sales girls if Mrs Schubert was baking.   I used to take the biscuits before the Coronavirus hit. I explained that yes I was baking but thought they may not want home cooked goods.  There was a chorus of yes that would enjoy anything I cared to bring.  This is one of my solutions to my cooking sweet things.

DH decided that we needed to go for a quick drive to pick up a chainsaw that was put in for repairs nearly a year ago!! DH was looking for it and then realised. So we went to Stawell, stopped on the way for a coffee takeaway . It was good to go but made me want to visit friends . So we went to a Miter 10 and got a door draft stopper, few dried English daisies , some tomarto veggie potting mix , think DH got some silver spray paint . On the journey I talked to DM ,she was escaping to the beach !! 10 weeks iso was driving her nuts ! DH wanted me to go with him in the truck to get gravel from another of our  properties!! No think I need to stop at home. DH foot will be sore with all the driving he has done today .

Hope your friend has a speedy recovery Katie. You're a good friend to help out at this time.
Cookie, hope the cortisone injection clicks in fast.
I could imagine that the pharmacy would be wanting to enjoy your cooking again.

I’m having a lazy day today, I walked to the shops to buy a paper and also had a chap pick up a blue chalk plant he’d asked for on one of our local FB giveaway pages.

A quiet Sunday. DH doing more gravel spreading .. this is good as no getting bogged on the laneway if it ever get wet this winter. Going to do a garden working bee for DFriend next week . Really we are just trying to keep busy and it’s cathartic ! It will be a while before she comes home , no doubt rehab as well , just the luckiest person but a long road of healing .
Feed the chooks the old tomarto plants and weeded the vegetable bed .

I've had a nice day in the kitchen.  :D

We are getting floating floor boards laid in the lounge tomorrow, so DH has been clearing the room out in readiness.  I think they are coming early.

Was a lovely morning with blue skies, but it has turned overcast and gloomy now.  I hope we get a bit of rain.  :)

DH wanted to paint the wall behind our big jarrah wall unit today. We emptied the wall unit, managed to move it a bit, DH painted the wall and we pushed it back bit by bit when it was dry. DD helped me put all the stuff back.  It was good to have a clean out. I kept everything except a set of yucky glasses. Most of the stuff is out of fashion but is crystal and stuff like Carlton ware that Mum had. I love it all.
I then used the new iron.

K ATIE and Cookie, jobs well done.
I keep putting off jobs but must get motivated.  Need to sort out bed linen.  The colours from previous house were different.
Must post Alison Roman’s Yoghurt ice cream recipe. I have found that the large Jalna yoghurt pot fits beautifully into Yoghurt machine.
