Chit Chat / tmx on tv in background
« on: April 30, 2010, 10:50:18 am »
A month or so ago I was watching telly and saw a tmx in the backgound.. for some reason I was very excited.  But for the life of me I couldn't remember where I saw it and tonight I am watching, can we help on abc and when the nutrition question came on that's where I saw it.  I got all excited again, but still not sure why... maybe because I am now a tmx junkie!  just had to share this.

Condiments and Sauces / Re: Satay Sauce
« on: April 05, 2010, 12:18:27 pm »
hi there,
just wanted to say thanks for the recipe I made this for dh tonight and he loved it he said it was the best satay he has ever eaten.  Although I wasn't sure about the cooking time etc in tmx, and as I am veggo I was using tmx to make my tea so in the end I made it in tmx but popped it in the microwave to heat up the sauce..  I love being a good cook!  (I ended up using 2 fresh chilli's seeds and all as he loves things hot, he said it was hot at the start but not at the end ) I hate hot stuff so no good for me..

Introduce Yourself / Re: dithering whether to buy................
« on: March 30, 2010, 11:29:35 am »
Hi Jools,
I have had mine maybe 3 weeks and have used it  every day.  I love checking out recipes and going for it.  Our diet has changed so much from having the  same meals week in week out , to never really having the same stuff.  The tmx just sits on the bench and gets used all the time and good news is it gets cleaned straight away..so easy.  It  is aloy of $ but the best kitchen purchase ever..  For example this week: mon- made some veggie stock with those veggies i would normally throw out.. whipped up butter chicken for husband for lunch, husband made pastry free quiche (from forum) for tea while I fed bub..hadvisitors and whipped up frozen desert..  Today: made peanut butter at breaky as we had run out.. lunch left over tmx pasta.. tea we just boiled eggs in it..and am just about to make choc banana nut icecream ... thats just 2 days!!  You wont be sorry!

welcome uYaz life will never be the same when tmx arrives, we have had ours since sat and i have cooked so much.  We have not had take away once and i have cooked out of my cupboards, fridge and freezer so havent gone to supermarket since our weekend shop.  I think just no take away and little trips tol the shops have probably saved us min $60.  Helps me justify the cost.  Enjoy your cooking adventures!!

Introduce Yourself / new from bendigo wanting a go to a demo
« on: March 02, 2010, 06:16:56 am »
Hi all,
went to a friends place on the weekend and she made us this salad in a strange looking machine.  I now know it was a thermomix, she told me what it cost and I went... :D as most people do, but knew that she isn't the type to "waste" money, so googles this thermomix and found so much stuff about people who obviously love this product.

I have contacted the office but not heard anything as I am keen to go to a demo.. not really to host one as I have a 4 month old and not enough local contacts, but thought I would come on here to post.. to see if there was a demonstrator in bendigo.

If so if they could pm me as I am really keen to see this thing in action..
Thanks
